Ah, a little bit of drama between Sasha and Nipa.

Interesting enough, I find the battle this episode to be more refreshing when they fought against some pretty odd-looking Neuroi. Hikari also seems to be doing somewhat well with her training. Interesting to see a little glimpse of Sasha's past though.

Nipa's also such a brave girl when fighting against the Neuroi this episode.

St Petersburg aka Leningrad the scene of intense fighting during WW2 and an importuned city to Sasha even though she didn't realise it.
Well it was nice to see her regain her memories.
And even better lot's of Sasha this episode we definitely need more of her.

I've got a soft spot for Nipa. For whatever reason, she reminds me of Francesca a little. Probably her penchant for trouble, they both get into it so easily.

I liked the fact that they showed Sasha's vulnerable side for family and those she considers near family, like "baka" Nipa.

Well, episode 6 in both seasons of Strike Witches focused on Eila & Sanya. I suppose Nipa & Sasha are the closest equivalent to get some action here.

ahh nipa and sasha are cute, well this is the best duo and drama for me so far .. nipa surely cares about sasha when she even protected the town where sasha came from and I think I like nipa more bcoz of this, her drawing of a ladybug is also cute , the way nipa cares is cute but careless, well ,her ability suits her very well..

I never would've expected a Neuroi that can shapeshift into different monuments. Despite that, it's attempt to shapeshift into a statue of a person turned itself into a modern day yob with a grey-ish-brown hoodie. So weird! XD

Anyway, the chemistry between Nipa and Sasha is amusing to see. It's very convenient that the crash-happy Nipa can heal herself easily with her magical power. For Sasha, I'm glad that she was able to remember her past more and accept the fact that the town needed protecting. One day, when the Neuroi finally clear away from the area around Petersburg, I would expect the original citizens of the town will return to their homes, and if Sasha didn't care about protecting the place, then it'll be more of a pain for the townspeople to return to their places intact, or move elsewhere if it was destroyed.

So thank goodness Nipa blocked the shell that was aiming for the monument. That helped Sasha to change her view about protecting the town. =)

Good episode overall and I think I sense some yuri vibes within the preview for episode 7. Looking forward to it! =D

The thing that amazes me about this new anime series, is the extreme versatility shown by Neuroi, I never expected that there were two similar to those seen in this episode. Too bad for the not so lofty designs throughout the narrative, if only they, along with the backdrops, the better they had been made, the episode was fantastic from a graphic point of view. Narration less dramatic than I had supposed, Sasha is a good character, but must develop it better, as well as have better characterize, even the other girls. Always catchy the OST, and the ending.

Neuroi artillery and spotter, cool. I was waiting for another unique one to show up. They had the series off with pretty generic ones so far.

That was a pretty amusing street canyon chase haha.

I knew she would have to eventually have to find the disguised one via her memorization ability, though i figured it would be sooner lol.

Strike Witches 2, and the movie depicted a lot of unique neuroi, including ground walking ones etc (which they don't often see, because they're airforce witches, not army witches), so things like the artillery is not surprising. There also was the narrative since the beginning that the neuroi tend to imitate humans and human constructs in attempt to understand. Though their method of learning is a very ineffective one: shoot first, study later. That said, the camo neuroi was definitely creative.

That changed a bit during the first Strike Witches, until a bigger dumbass, aka neuroi nexus 2.0 slapped it aside and continued with whatever it was doing to begin with. Probably the reaction to the other humans who made that hybrid jet thing (which pissed papa Neuroi off). The continuation of the war is definitely a sad chain of events that perpetuate eachother (like any real war).

Overall this was a great episode
The focus on this episode was on Sasha the combat leader of the squadron
I loved that the episode explored Sasha's childhood and also how she has
her current personality. Pairing that with the drama between Nipa and Sasha was
a great move. As a result this episode was both funny because of Nipa and
hearwarming when you see why Sasha has such a logical personality.

Hmm learning to balance by using a rudimentary seesaw and a bucket of water eh
while dodging projectiles eh
well thats the good old days lol

Hmm Nipa's special ability is pretty useful
for herself lol

And Sasha's power is to see which components of something has been
damaged eh
pretty useful for a engineer or a quartermaster
wow so her power is essentially magic memory that allows her to remember anything

Lol that Neroi just appearing out of that bell
to think that they managed to bypass the security that easily
and get this close to a town

hmm so Sasha is the combat leader then eh
meaning that after the squadron commander she's the second mosts senior

So this episode's focus will be on Sasha then eh

lol so the Neroi this time is like a chameleon
hmm so these attacks are pinpoint strikes aimed at the witches
supply and early warning systems eh
pretty crafty of the neroi

lol flying within cities demands much more attention
than flying out in the open sky

Hmm Sasha as a person is very objective i guess and focuses on the duties
of a soldier and her objectives rather on personal things
It looks like her childhood wasn't a happy one

The chase of the Neuroi though was well done
its a good thing that the town was empty though

hmm so Sasha is remembering her childhood that she somehow
suppressed then eh

Hmm so the neuroi creates the shells from its own cells
and can only create three at a time eh

So Sasha is conflicted over whether to defend the town and remaining
objective then eh

Man Sasha has such a large responsibility managing her squad mates when they are in combat without having to get rattled with these memories of her

lol Nipa keeps finding the Neroi crashing into it

Hmm so because her powers materialized when she was visiting the town
she developed bad memories of it eh

Its ironic that Orussia was wary of witches but at the same time
they are relying on them to protect against the Neuroi lol
But accidentally crushing a car with your powers can be rather scary
considering that most people upon witnessing this will label you as the enemy

its ironic that her memories that she hated is now useful to Sasha and her
team mates though
Wow to think that Nipa would try and take that shell out by herself to
preserve Sasha's memories.
Good thing she has that ability of hers though

Its nice to see that the usually cool and logical Sasha
has this warmer and caring side to her as well
lol Hikari just watching Sasha cry on Nipa

Nipa, taking over that long-range ballistic shell from that Neuroi will cause collateral damage to her but its okay, since she'll just heal...how convenient!
4/5.

Polarbear girl being Shirou, Trace on!
This show lots of round head injuries. Hikari & Nipa funny stuff (lol ladybug) & Sasha get lots of headaches from her two dummies. Nice backstory with memory ability.
Surprised Neuroi's got cool pairing tactics & took down 3 locations. Designs getting more interesting. Tank like a tachikoma.
Neuroi shoots Gilgamesh's Ea. Nipa blocks. Heal activated. Orussian yuri.

Then I will have to re-watch the film and past seasons of Strike Witches, because I did not remember this trick. Thanks a lot for the answer! ;)

Right from the beginning of the first episode they wrecked some warplanes then came out looking like a plane. Occasionally you see bug-like ones crawling around on the ground, especially in the movie. There was also that one where there was the little beetle. The movie had the pillar thing; the first season had that absurdly massive tower, and there were the spam ones, and the ufo things...

Great in terms of backgrounds, even if you could do even better, we sit in the BD version. The story is interesting from the point of view of the strategies implemented by the enemy, much more complex than those seen in Strike Witches. Reading between the lines, the narration has an important message to convey. The new ending is catchy.

Such a simple title with a simple storyline too for these episode. I guess Sasha had a nice little memories there. But, due to her overthinking, she must shut down that memories until she realizing that it was a mistake. Such a sweet relations between her and Nipa that actually care to each others pretty much. Its already cleared how amazing the relations between the two countries too, Suomus, and Orussia. Well, well, i might thanks to the weird looking Neurois too that was quite intelligence on these episode. Because of with their activity, Sasha could regain her lost memories and solidified her relations with Nipa.

So, thats it! A little story for the battle commander that looks so emotional. Its quite justified how cute they were actually, and i am fine with all of that, even though i am still the direction can be a lot better. But oh well. Its already happening! And for Hikari, lets back to your training to controlled your balance again, because you were still sucks on that!

I really like both Nipa and Sasha. They are so cute together.

It was nice to see some flashback moments from Sasha's childhood.

That shape-shifting marker Neuroi was pretty cool.
