While in Pretty Cure, we have Cures that are primary school girls, here we primary/middle/high school girls, and also adults,, it will be sad, if little girls die too, twin angels look to be 8-10, and Swim Swim turned out to be around that age too.

We also have male magic girls. I wonder if there are others beside Souta.

According to Souta (who heard from fav) there are others like him though they are supposed to be rare.

The twin angels are older IIRC. More like 15-17. Swimswim is probably younger than 8, around 6-7, but I may be wrong on this.

Since the status of magical girl in this verse doesn't disappear with age, you basically have far more adults magical girls than children by the simple fact that those who started when they were children have grown up and that on top of this quite agood amount started when they were already adults.
This also means that Souta for example, if he lives through this, would continue to be one even as an adult man. And could still be one even as a 50 + years old man with no problem.

As Fab said, men magical girl are rare in this verse. So far in 9 volumes we haven't seen another one, I think.

But so you know, there's something even more "exotic" as a magical girl story in this verse, and that's

Yes, that's also available in this verse. There's a lot of things in this verse that are very rare to be found in magical girl verse like that. I personally enjoy those particularities.

It's pretty cool how Swim-chan turned out to be an 8 year old and it makes sense when you think back to it. Being naive and timid but a fast learner, at first you'd think it's strange a teenage character would have those traits.

With slight psychopathic traits.

Makes even more sense, because Swim hasn't nearly completely matured yet. She's at the age where she learns a lot from others around her, who in this case is Ruler.

I like this too, a lot, and mainly because it gives this anime something unique from the Madoka routine. After all, while Kyubei may have a point about young girls having very intense emotions that other demographics lacks, it is also true that as you grow older you are faced with situations that can push you into a corner. Like Ruler,
