Interesting episode, we got some more Miyako screentime. :D

It may look like the god inside Miyako killed Makoto's grandmother but why would Noriko, the one who was serving her and came to talk to Miyako at the end of the episode know it before it happened. I think she died before Makoto cursed her. Maybe Noriko even killed her with something in the drink? Though that might be going too far.

Like Tarou, I also thought that Miyako resembled his sister but there's still something iffy about that. I'm looking forward to the next episode, the preview was quite promising.

I thought this was an absolutely fantastic episode, brilliantly produced and written. Thickly atmospheric, laced with intensity and suspense, and forthcoming of interesting plot developments - this was Ghost Hound at its best. And when Ghost Hound is at its best I consider it to be far and above the best thing on television right now. This episode was gripping, layered and artful.

Very good episode, one of my favourites yet.
It seems like Noriko is working for someone else, and she probably has something to do with Makoto's grandmother death.
Next episode seems quite interesting.

I couldn't have said it better, this episode definitely tipped the scales for me deciding between a 9 and a 10 show. Haven't seen anything close to this good since Mushishi.

Yet another brilliant episode. I keep getting drawn further into their lives. I mean they can't even get help from the local priest - who just happens to be Miyako's father - Because he doesn't even believe in those things himself. Even after seeing Miyako do the whole hair-floating-weightlessly in the air-thing! You can't do that with delusions from your mind - I mean come on!

I think Tarou still talks to much. He has been pretty sheltered by people who love him, so he doesn't yet know the saying - to keep a little for thyself. In other words don't tell the higher ups everything! I probably shouldn't say this as and adult now - But I know 'cause I've been yanked around myself. He'll learn later, when one of the adults, betray their little band of friends.

By the way who else is creeped out by the Dr. Receding Hairline-All Forehead.
She really is trying to hold onto her youth with those short short dresses that show her ridiculously skinny legs and arms. I think her skin looks like that of a dead person and I hate her. She'll be the one to drag the town down; not just Tarou, Miyako and friends - I can just tell! The red lipstick reminds me of how in The Sixth Sense, everything that came in contact with the dead was red - sorry for the rhyme -.- I really don't like her.

This episode was absolutely great, the show is becoming better and better as the plot becomes more subtle and deeper. I'm starting to make some theories about Tarou's sister and the detah of Makoto's father but I guess I'll keep them to myself for now ;)

Lol, I'm glad I'm not the only one disturbed by that. Anyways, yeah, everything about her says she's up to no good, although I'm not sure yet to which extent. On another note, Dr. Hirata sometimes seem a bit shifty too, but I feel his intentions are genuine, even if his motives are purely intelectual curiosity.

As usual with Ghost Hound, I want to see more! Each episode just leaves me curious with more questions. And damn, Noriko is quite the creepy servant, can't wait to find out her intentions. Lol @ the freshman crushes on Masayuki

I'm amazed at how Ghost Hound delivers such a strong punch every episode. The slower monotonous moments are captivating and effectively build up suspense. They always break it at just the right time with something big. As usual, look forward to the next ep.

I'm really curious about Makoto's hatred toward his grandmother. I mean, yeah, there's the whole mystery about his father's suicide, and the pressure to become the successor to the family, but there's definitely something more. I'm thinking Makoto's grandmother (or maybe Noriko, using Makoto's grandmother) is largely responsible for the weirdness of the city.

word!
i'm especially interested in norikos position in this anime, remembering the scene of ep 13, when she walked up the stairs to the temple. that face was just toooo creepy.
im wondering, how they manage to throw up more and more questions with each episode. hope, there will be a turning point soon, not because i think this anime is bad, but because i cant wait any longer :P. its just freakin'me out!!!

awaiting eagerly next episode!

Agreed, I really dislike her, especially her appearance.
This episode seemed to be alot more intense then others and the pacing was a little off for me. There weren't many of those slow scenes, alot of movements and quick shots. Not the Ghost Hound I love, but still a good episode nonetheless. When the priest spoke of the long limbed spider people, I couldn't help but think of Taro's interpretation of the kidnapper. One probably has nothing to do with the other, but that kind of stuck out at me. Maybe the spider people roam the lands and those are the gods "Miyako" spoke of, because remember Taro saw one in the woods awhile back and the spider people were supposed to be descended from heaven.

i really loved this episode (and all before it xD)
can't wait to see what will happen next, and how it is all connected
some saying went something like "if you ask enough questions they will start turning into answers" wasn't it? i guess that would be pretty soon, considering how freakin few really is clear right now, and how many questions are still unanswered. but i have to say, open questions in the dozen normally is quite annoying in anime, but in ghost hound, its just fantastic. i don't feel totally left in the dark by sloppy scriptwriting or something like that, it just feels right, the questions are unanswered, but in a way that makes you not say "aw comeon, it gets lame, secrets over secrets" but in a way that leaves you on the edge wanting to know how it will continue, and trying to figure out what the heck is going on.
if the momentary level of the series keeps up, this will be a definite 10 from me.

I had to wait extra long to see the latest episode, but damn, it was so worth it. A lot more answers were revealed than usual, and it succeeds at keeping the viewer entertained and scared (Me anyway; I was really worried for Miyako during her visit with Dr Hirata) at the same time. Episode 15-17 raws are already out. They need to be subbed now!

The part where Miyako was possessed was pretty cool, was it the god possessing her that killed the granny when Makoto mentioned her... hmmm.

I really love this show. It's interesting to see how Makoto's grandmother's death is gonna play out with how everyone reacts to it, especially with the thing with Miyako right before it.

Interesting folklores on Lord of one word, almost vague like a Snark.
Servant's scary. It's unfortunate granny & Makoto parted on bad terms, seemed she had some last words for him on his dad. Feels like Servant setup her death with meds & the one word curse. Forcing Makoto to inherit priesthood? or making him feel guilty indebted to the family?
Bit delayed but that lab's excessively huge, and contrast of that dude in fur coat vs neurologist in short dress. Dude's report sounds like they're brewing some artificial life hive mind cloud storage mashup.

I feel bad for Miyako. So apparently there are more gods in that place and that's why all those strange things are happening, but I still don't understand how that would explain all these strange things. I really thought Miyako looked like Mizuka just because of the art style but seems like it's more important than that.

Something I still don't understand is Makoto's grandmother and that creepy servant, but apparently the former is now dead.
Come on man, where is that Noragami season 3 masterpiece. We want it, Bones!
