It's not like Adlet and Nashetnaia were together. In fact, that's the contrary since he never saw Nashetania again after meeting her in jail once until the day she helped him break out from jail. No one can attest of Adlet's circumstances here. He was in jail, sure, but this means completely outside of anyone's sight except for one guard at a time coming to bring him food. If one of those guards coming during the long months he was imprisoned were to be a traitor, no one would see anything. Worse, it is supposed to be impossible to copy the rokka mark, yet it was copied so well than even the top brass of the saint (Mora) cannot see any difference when checking it. The magical "signature" of the mark is identical. Doesn't that mean that the fiend found a way to copy the system? And if so, doesn't that mean that they can grant it from a distance just like the original one? if that were the case, then even being in jail wouldn't be a problem here. Mora has been a saint for 17 years, and leader of all the saints since 10 years. She has access to every record from former leaders of saints, and this obviously include non public ones. She's very capable and very studious, and know very well how to identify the work of each saint. She inspected each mark and every single of them appears to be from the same power (IE, goddess of fate (saint of one flower). She knows very well that no saint should be able to copy this. She (and we readers by extension) can only think that something has gone horribly wrong here. The enemy is able to reproduce something that should be absolutely impossible to reproduce even for another saint. How much did they reproduce? Didn't they reproduce the way to "grant it" from afar just as well ? |
