I wasn't disappointed by the asshole-ness and incompetence of that 'veteran inspector'. At first he didn't even bother to look up the family register of the Driscolls and when he did he kinda easily believed the thug leader over Remi even though his story didn't make much sense. Also since they allegedly investigated the Driscolls for ten years already (seeing how stupid they are that doesn't speak highly of the cops abilities too btw) wouldn't they have noticed that Remi had never been with them before?
Remi could have been a bit more resourceful as well. He could mention the lawyer that found him who could potentially support his story.
Seeing Lise again was a delight though, but sadly overshadowed by Remi being in prison.
I probably regret this post by now.

Cops in this series is corrupted and dumb as fuck, but Remi really should have shown more composure against the detective imo. But I find it ridiculous that the so called ''veteran'' detective trusted the words of a gang leader than a young boy who has nothing to do with this.

Things are getting really frustrating to watch, I'm just hoping that Remi will have a happy ending at the end of this.

I'm surprised Remi didn't point at the old man from last episode. His testimony should be strong enough.

"Your sight, my delight. Will you marry me?"

I guess that even Mattia would feel discouraged dealing with the police. Even Capi and Joli Coeur II were down seeing him like that and without Remi by their side.

That inspector was a disappointment too. Remi forgot all about the family register and the lawyer, but then we got to see that the inspector already knows that the Driscolls don't have any children, but he wouldn't listen to a kid, they don't have a voice, especially if it would make him look terrible to the people and I guess he really likes appearing on the media more than doing a proper job, considering that he's just going to send Remi to a juvenile prison without any proof, after cornering him psychologically, just to have it easy.

Anyone should be able to tell that Remi definetly isn't a Driscoll, I hope that he will have to face some consequences for being so negligent about it after the truth is finally brought to light.

But I'm so glad things are progressing back on France! Lise will have a chance of being healed just like Arthur. I hope things work out for both of them, and now it seems like Mrs. Milligan is going to get to the truth all by herself, I'm actually looking forward to her meeting with Remi's foster mom. It might turn out that she will be the one to get to him and not the contrary!

Wow they decided to postpone Remi eventual meeting with her mom and make him suffer more in prison. I can't really believe how they write off all the police thinking that Remi is the gang's leader kid, that's just even more ridiculous when the police is acting like a child. I do want to at least enjoy the show, but the whole ass character writing just to justify the melodrama is too much for me. I thought I would like the show more after Mattia joining Remi in their journey to search for Remi's mom. The show has potential but when it's written as adults are bad and stupid then the kid would eventually win over with the wondrously optimistic and naive he is. That's just simply frustrating to watch with how hardly believable most of the characters are in the show. In real life, Remi would be dead long time ago with how scummy and terrible underground crimes actually are.
