THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

I shouldn't have been so optimistic about their plan :/.
But to be fair they only got discovered because of Joli Coeur's mischievousness which was responsible for that 'acciden't that woke up the Driscoll guy.
Still, at least they confirmed that Mrs. Milligan is Remi's real mother, which was a nice moment in the story. Especially the way Mattia tricked them again :>. I also had to lol at the guy punching through the door xD.
In any case now all that's left is for them to escape and I hope they manage that before things get ugly.
I probably regret this post by now.

Damn, stupid monkey... Remi and Mattia almost got out as well, really disappointed with Joli Coeur. But I'm happy that Remi finally knew that Mrs Milligan is his real mother. Great development on the story, it's getting closer and closer to the finishing line.

Yep, it would've been too good for them to just escape like that. Makes you wonder what could happen if they won't meet Mrs Milligan for a long time. Hopefully nothing terrible. Show is almost over, hang in there Capi, Mattia and Joli Coeur!

This episode was so suspenseful, I was on the edge of my seat yet again! Looking for clues Remi and Mattia find out the hideout of the Driscolls at the basement and thanks to it they get to Remi's family crest, which in turn becomes the key to the truth.

I laughed out LOUD when that "lady" fainted because of Joli Coeur II and the man was like: "oh, she's having a nightmare while sleeping with open eyes" like lol, so for a moment my tension was eased, I thought they were going to get away from there, but things can't always work out so thanks to Joli Coeur II's fascination for make up and Mattia's slip-up they were caught.

But Mattia soon makes up for it, he's really the best, he manages to create a small rift between the gang and to confirm the truth by bluffing! He has nerves of steel for sure, he doesn't mind his situation at all as he acts tough.

This anime is so emotive too, I was tearing up in happiness together with Remi and Mattia when they finally realized that Mrs. Milligan was his true mother and that Arthur was his younger brother, what a blessed feeling in the middle of a worrying situation.

Still, that preview made me so anxious that I'm even afraid to watch the next episode. I know this tale doesn't mind at all killing its main characters, so a fate like slavery is pretty feasible, I hope that Remi and those circus colleagues manage to save Mattia, I know Remi wouldn't be able to be in peace if the foundation of his happiness were to be the sacrifice of his soulmate that so far did his best for him.

Well... I could tell that Remi's "family" would turn into a full-on ransom situation sooner or later, but I didn't expect a scene quite like this when I had first started the anime.

Still glad they managed to end this episode on a high note, in spite of the two now being even more fucked than they were at the beginning of the episode.
