| Interesting topic for a thread. As it turns out, Xenocrisi isn't the only person who wants to discuss this. There is a major article in "Anime!Anime!" magazine published at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 9th, Japan time. It is a discussion among three people associated with the magazine. It is three pages long, and it covers a lot of ground. Basically, they are trying to understand various aspects of Yuri Kuma Arashi up to the end of Episode 8. The existence of the wall. ■ Who the heck is Kumaria-sama? ■ The past of teacher Yuriika as revealed in Episode 8. ■ The inaudible conversation in the last scene of Episode 8. ■ How the story will end. They seem to have some interesting ideas about how the story will end. Their thoughts are not entirely speculative, since they point to various story elements which might be relevant. They also refer to the way that Penguindrum ended. It is much too complicated for me to properly translate. But I'll put the final part of their conversation into spoiler tags here so that the people here who can read Japanese can conveniently look at it: |
