 It was announced that light novel series Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru will get an anime adaptation. More information regarding the anime adaptation will be announced at a later time.The light novel was originally published on the writing community site E★Everystar under the pen name Eleanor.S and received various awards from the website. Kadokawa began publishing the novels on February 23, 2013, and there are currently seven volumes written by Shiori Ota and illustrated by Tetsuo. The series also received three radio drama episodes. Synopsis Shoutarou Tatewaki, a high schooler living in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido, meets Sakurako Kujou, a bone-loving ojou-san who has an ability to analyze specimen. Because of meeting her, he has to accompany her to various cases. | Mmm mystery LN, and i really hope this one will be a more decent, competently adapted mystery, because another mystery LN adaptations on top of my head such as Kamisama no Memochou and Dantalian no Shoka, despite their massive potentials, ended up being a downer (albeit being more watchable than the rest of usual Ln adaptation pastiche), with the former being plagued by insanely rushed pacing and bunch of pointless pseudo-philosophical concepts that have zero significance to the story arcs while the latter felt like an example of what usually happens when an episodic series tries its hand at presenting a continuing narrative, and unfortunately the result isn't very pleasant to witness (even the OVA felt pretty random). |
