| According to the movie's official site, the Blu-ray and DVD of K: Missing Kings will be released on April 22, 2015. The discs will include both Japanese and English subtitles. The site also features a new promotional video for K 2nd Season, announcing that the TV series will premiere in Fall 2015. | This is one of the few shows worth watching for the animation alone. I remember not caring about the characters and plot yet enjoying it. If season 1 is anything to go by, the movie and the second season should look glorious. |

Having watched the movie, I would say yes, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a brief recap of the movie in the second season. Most of the movie itself is pretty much a filler anyway. |
