| THIS IS AN ANIME DISCUSSION POST ONLY FOR LITTLE GIRLS! NO BOYS ALLOWED! ---------------------------------------- Cure Mermaid is fabulous, we got another well-animated fight (obviously not as good as ep 1 but good for Toei) and lots of SILLY FACES, so it was a good episode! Haruka and Minami are also really sweet with each other, so I'll be looking forward to their dynamics once the show is out of the introductory phase. Only disappointing part is NO CURE TWINKLE NEXT WEEK! |

| Again, the writing is actually quite good. Liked that Cure Flora had a legitimate reason to be nerfed, letting Cure Mermaid get the spotlight. Loved that they worked in the detail of the perfume falling out of the box during one of the attacks. Blink and you'd miss it, but it was there. |

Agreed on seeing a reason to let Cure Mermaid have the fight. While I didn't see the purfume get lost the first time, I could still tell exactly when it was lost when Aroma mentioned it. Still, to go back and see it actually happen was really good on the animators' parts. I hope this iteration maintains this level of detail and dynamic action. |
| wait... wasn't that girls-only school? plushies are still adorable and best part of this show tbh. not irritating and not too silly for my taste. I like Pink one - she is rather typical Precure MC but after all those perfect ones it's nice to see someone more normal. making mistakes but also going for her dream. Blue was great :) even more similarities to MariMite with her. as for fight - again animated part was very good but than CGI came back :( why Toei, why! you used to be so good at this :( |
| Now this is the Precure I was looking for. Definitely a step up from last week. Kind of a shame that HapCha drained all that money out of Toei's pockets (Especially since the writing was a huge improvement over Doki) but for the most part it seems Toei are managing to work with the low budget. Of course I say 'for the most part' because the CG is definitely jarring (And this is coming from someone who's usually tolerant of CG) but it's only a minor flaw so I can let it slide. So overall, I'm confident this will remain entertaining for the next 46 or so episodes. I just hope the snooty old teachers don't get too much presence though. I can't stand snooty old people in anime. |

| Good episode! REALLY hoping this series doesn't crash and burn like Happiness Charge Precure did in its last 6 episodes. I'm hoping it keeps this quality going until the very end. I was surprised to see boys in Noble Academy, but that's really cool because it means the series won't be sexist: everyone, both boys and girls, is learning to be noble so there is no gender disparity there. I read the previous episode thread a few minutes ago and I agree about the Princess thing being potentially very problematic, but it looks like it isn't for now: she wanted to be a princess before she met Kanata, so that is HER dream and not something someone planted in her; she didn't even know he was a prince until last episode! Also, the princesses aren't passive damsels, but badass LEGENDARY WARRIORS. Still, this show has all the time in the world to ruin itself like HappinessCharge did. Really really REALLY hoping it doesn't do that. Anime writers, please STAY AWAY from love storylines unless they give character development to these main characters and DON'T fall into sexist tropes like "you're obligated to love a Nice Guy TM back and if you don't you're a horrible person and you're gonna be guilt-tripped" (looking at you, f-ing HapCharge's last episodes). Back to happy things, Minami is super cool and awesome; I hope we delve further into her personality because she seems extremely interesting. Not much else to say because the story is just getting started; hopefully (wow I keep on using that word, I guess I have high hopes for this show) it will evolve into something awesome!! Next episode looks like a breather episode, but it'll be nice to see Minami and Haruka's teamwork. Can't wait! |

| Enjoyable episode! We get to see Haruka obsess over Kaidou, which always seems to happen to those type of characters. Cure Mermaid was pretty awesome! The way she moves in her transformation sequence is kind of like a mermaid, so it makes sense. The dress in her elegant form also complements her theme quite nicely. Still waiting for Cure Twinkle... |

| Good ep. I enjoyed this one much more then last week. I really enjoyed Kaidou and her transformation. Well they at least shown they know how to handle this I just hope they can keep this up for a year. Sent with Mal Updater |

| I hate prototypical ojou-sama settings so it's a wonder how I managed to enjoy this, but I did. Haruka is definitely a breath of fresh air after getting used to Dokidoki-style pinks, although Megumi was better than Mana in that regard. Mermaid was fabulous but the clumsy Flora vs Trophy battle was the best part. I would definitely like to see the imperfections of Kaidou somewhere down the road. She seems to be an outwardly perfect, but I have a gut feeling she has an emotional vulnerability somewhere. |

| Flora: How did you know I am Haruka?! Minami: I saw you transform. It was fascinating. Major faux-pas on Haruka's side when she said that she thought Kaidou's scary. You just don't say people something like that if you only know them for such a short amount of time. Minami visibly flinched - I hope they touch upon it in future episodes, because yeah, she's incredibly interesting. CGI Cure Flora looked fine but ugh, CGI Cure Mermaid is cringeworthy. And with that dress of hers... eh, I don't really like that design. I'm really liking the battle choreography here. Yeah, you could tell they spurt a little less on Mermaid's battle but it was still very dynamic and nice. Altough Flora vs. Trophy was better. Wow, they are taking a week off before introducing Twinkle? That's unusual for this franchise. |

| This is my first Precure show and I am only watching this because of a friend who told me that this franchise was pretty good. I'm not sure I will watch through all but I am at least waiting for the last girl to show up since I think I will like her the best. The biggest problem I have though is Haruka. I dislike her character design and I dislike her personality, even though I realize that this is a kids show, and that it might be appealing to the younger audience. Minami is a character better than Haruka though. I'll give it a few more episodes until I decide to drop it or not. |
| Wow, I really liked this episode. The dance lessons with Haruka and Minami was really good, I'm really enjoying Pafu and Aroma. Both of them are very enjoyable. The battle was really great. Both Flora and Mermaid did very well in their fight. I also like the fact that Haruka's injure went to her Precure form. Haven't seen anything like that seances Fresh. At first I thought I wasn't going to like Mermaid, but I really enjoyed her in this episode. Glade the next Cure won't be in the next episode, but we get to see a new villain. Can't wait. |

And by "getting to the point" I mean "let's introduce all the characters as soon as possible so the girls can quickly pick up their favourites" or something along those lines. It's actually weird they are taking their sweet time with the third princess. That's something new. |

| Great episode. I enjoyed the interactions between Haruka and Minami. The whole ballet segment was hilarious. I don't know if I'm the only one who thinks Haruka's eyebrows are a little weird. xD Cure Mermaid got introduced. Her transformation is beautiful. Puff and Aroma are so adorable. :3  |

| Pfft, the yellow cards and the red cards in the fight scene was creative. :p Kaidou is a very likable character. Looking forward to meeting the next princess. |
