| Definitely agree with you there. I also hope to see more characters like the Lieutenant with PTSD since he was one of the few characters that stood out among a seemingly bland cast. |

| So i have to admit something Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata was probably the one series i was not expecting to be on my top 5 series to watch this season nevertheless my number 1 series to watch. I kinda saw it as a generic harem type series i was wrong. |

| My impressions on Kekkai Sensen after 4 episodes. First time doing this kind of thing so I probably miss a lot. It is an episodic battle anime mixed with comedy and style Good: >Very entertaining to watch, the animation is top notch as expected of BONES http://a.pomf.se/eqgwbp.webm >Animation quality is consistent so far. >The jazz soundtrack is very good, the ED is definitely one of the best this season. -It's episodic in nature, although there are hints of an overarching story regarding the MC's power. Think of it as Cowboy Bebop but with aliens and Kill la Kill-like action sequences. Bad: >It's pretty chaotic. Because it's episodic, lots of exposition is thrown at you and it somewhat throws off some people. -Overall, I think this anime is one of my favorites this season and I hope it only gets better. They need to work on the plot but if it stays at the same format I'm not really complaining. I'm going to sleep now so I will probably continue with the other shows tomorrow. |

| Really enjoying a lot from this season. Nagato has progressively been getting better each episode. DanMachi is well, simply put, fun to watch. Yeah, there really isn't anything special about it by any means whatsoever, but it's still a fun watch. Nisekoi is alright. Not as good as the first season by this point, but eh. It's still enjoyable enough to watch. Kiniro is pretty effing fantastic, first season was amazing and this season has really amped everything up, it's going awesome. Hibike is pretty good, very shiny, it's gotta be said. If I stop to really think about the plot at this point, it isn't all that much. But it's still sparking a little nostalgia from when I was in band in high school. Plastic Memories I'm really enjoying so far, too. It's definitely pulling me into the characters quite a bit. |

You are right in the reguard that you can't compare a spin-off to the actual series but for now i see it as something with too many obvious cliche as well as having obvious "filler and fanservice episodes" which for a 16 episode series just isn't needed. Having high hopes for it will lead to major disappointments. I just feel the series is setting it self up for failure so soon and its now what week 10 and the series is now showing some actual story that's just ridiculous for a short series. |

| I've only been watching Gintama° from the spring season and it's been pretty great so far (as usual). Planning on checking out several series from the summer season so I'll be posting my thoughts on them once I finish catching up to some older series. |

| So far Overlord, Gangsta, Prison School, GATE and Working!! S3 have been pretty entertaining. Also enjoying Charlotte and Ushio to Tora which look promising. God Eater started out slow and when the action happened it felt like they were trying a bit too hard to look badass. The series, well first episode, just gives off a vibe that makes it seem like it was targeted towards young audiences and have them talk about how cool the show is. I'm really liking the cast though (probably because of Kazuya Nakai :P) and the show does seem to have potential so hope it gets better. Gatchaman Crowds Insight is my least favorite so far. The story is just so...uninteresting. It might be due to how action packed the prequel episode was so who knows, might get better. As for the second part of DRRR S2, I still haven't checked out the first cour so I gotta get on that. Then there's also Dragon Ball Super but I'm gonna have to finish rewatching DBZ eventually and then watch Battle of the Gods and Resurrection F so I'm not sure when I'll get started on DBS : / Overall it's a pretty great season and I'm hoping it stays that way :) |

| Some summer 2015 impressions brought to you by repair torch moe art. Charlotte is looking pretty good so far. The MC looks similar to Lelouch which I like. There's a lot of unanswered questions that hopefully will get answered later on. DRRRRRR S2 - I'm not liking the dips in animation and quality, but I really don't care that much because I'm more focused on the story. I feel conflicted about God Eater. Avenger-senpai said: God Eater started out slow and when the action happened it felt like they were trying a bit too hard to look badass. Definitely agree there mate. I like the art style but the pacing felt weird and the excessive amounts of slow-mo scenes gave off a "try hard to be cool" vibe. Jitsu wa Watashi-wa - Okay-ish adaptation. I hope they include the manga's reactions faces because that's what made the manga unique imo. One thing I noticed is how the chapters were all mixed around. Some chapters were put ahead of others, and there was one big reveal from the anime that I haven't even read in about in the manga yet. Shinometa is so stupid it's hilarious. It's basically a more ecchi version of Seitokai Yakuindomo. Also, that ED is pretty damn catchy. Working S3 - More of the same really, nothing wrong with that. The characters are getting more development which is good. Gakkou Gurashi - So I saw a thread for this with 300+ comments and I thought I might as well watch it. Very cute SoL about friendship and trust ^_^ I recommend watching this blind, trust me it's completely worth it. I'm liking Rokka no Yusha's Mayan setting, pretty unique in an anime. I also like the MC. He's capable and smart, and doesn't blindly trust anyone. Overall I think this season isn't so bad. Lots of great shows to watch. |

| Charlotte's turned out to be pretty disappointing for me. Feels like they're squeezing 24 episodes worth of material into 12. It's also using the same Key formula that's been used for years which is Happy/cheery first half and then Feelsy 2nd half. Last episode is probably going to follow the usual pattern as well. For me it feels like tried to do something different (story wise) but ended up with a sloppy mess that has cheesy comedy, forced romance and characters which I just don't really care about tbh. It's a shame since I've really enjoyed Key anime adaptations but this one just doesn't click with me. Not sure if it's the source material or the adaptation itself though. |

| I do agree that the series does feels like 24 episode part 1 and 2 squishy mess but overall i'm still actually loving the series a lot more than a lot the anime airing this season. Overlord is quickly starting to die out to me and slowly being replaced by gate while gangsta still is action entertainment at its finest just doesn't to me measure up. I think what bugs me this season is nothing this season to me isn't screaming "OMG this series is amazing you should all watch it." Its more to me like " well this series is really good i recommend watching if you've seen series a/b or some cases c. Since this series has some elements of each series that i can compare it too that are really good like this series but also fail in same ways or vice versa." My only hope is something good comes out of the fall season...from what i looked at its going to be a lot of sequels to series that were already amazing and i'm afraid that my sequel theory might make me rethink my love for that series. but i can only hope |

But what about Prison School? xD Well, I hadn't really watched currently airing anime in about 1-2 years so this season has done its job on getting me back on track. Even though it doesn't have any masterpieces it still has a lot of good ones which have made it a pretty good season overall. The last currently airing anime I saw which I found amazing was Hajime no Ippo: Rising, though I waited until the last episode was out and I'm pretty sure that's the only series that caught my eye that season xD |

| That was a bit of a disappointing season overall but it did have a few series that were pretty great such as One Punch Man, Noragami S2, and the sleeper hit (well at least for me) Young Black Jack. As for the Winter season, it has a few that I'm looking forward to but they're sequels. Hope some of the new series will catch my attention once the first episodes are out or I might be watching less currently airing shows than the Fall 2015 season : / |

| Man Boku dake ga Inai Machi might actually be my favorite this winter season. First episode came out looking amazing. There is a few supernatural concepts and things story wise that i'm still trying to wonder about, but i think over time it will work itself i hope. As for this winter season like normal kinda just going to play them off as no expectations and let the first episode kinda set my expectations for them. |
