It seems to me that maybe the taste of coffee is nostalgic and it takes him to his youth, or makes him look back to his birthdays. Pretty interesting for 2 minutes. |

It references the Coffee Break anime, search for [Anonymoose] Nihon Art Animation Eiga Senshuu / 日本アートアニメーション映画選集 (DVD, 10bit) if you want to see that one too. |
