| I wonder what Yoko's intentions are. she wasn't fond of Joe at all ever since the beginning, but lately she became kind of obsessed with him, despite Joe's hostility towards her. The match was a disappointment. Usman has such a badass, intimidating appearance. both the press and Danpei were praising him, yet he ended up losing in one round. also, i wonder what was up with his legs at the end of the match, i thought that was some kind of a strategy he's planning or something. |
| This was kind of a depressing episode.. The news of what happened to Carlos was bad enough, but it was shown all over Joe's face throughout the episode how much it tore him up emotionally as well. Also, the look on his face after the quick KO of Somkit incredibly striking.. He looked so anguished. |
| Finally Joe wins a match. Considering how much we've had to wait for another victory, it's about time. As such it could have been a more emotional moment, but then again the message of the series has always been that it's not so much about winning or losing but about a passionate fight. |

The whole reason why Yoko brought Carlos over was to light that fire in Joe again after dealing with the unfortunate death of Rikiishi She doesn't want Joe to wither away.and I reckon she also feels Joe isn't even allowed to, out of respect for Rikiishi. |
