probably! in 4-5 years! back in jan when the series just started, the manga was 2 rounds into the 3rd players match. Now, 8 months later, The manga has just finished Hisas match, and is in a long Usuzan flashback... with sakis and nodokas match tending to last longer than the rest.... yeah. Its gonna take a while

OK,then, just a question...Will Saki and Teru be playing in the team tournament as first players, fifth players,or will Teru be the first again and Saki the fifth player again?

I'd say teru and saki won't be playing with each other. I don't think they can really just change positions like that, but I could be wrong. Which is something I find really ironic about this. Saki doesn't get to play with her sister, and Nodoka doesn't even get to play with any of her 3 childhood friends from Achiga :/

Well I am basically asking those who read the manga to spoil it for us...Teru and Saki, even if they don't play in the team tournament, they will play in the indididual tournament.

Sigh. Individual tournament. If we're lucky, we'll reach it within the next few decades. haha, but seriously, Its monthly and is only around 12-16 pgs each week. wish Saki came out weekly, or monthly with 40+ pgs like other monthly manga :( .

Assuming there's interest by the anime producers and assuming the manga has a steady, unchangeable pace:

Achiga-Hen made 16 episodes worth of material in 2 years of manga so maybe we could see The Dawn of Age spinoff still this year.

Saki is progressing by 4.5 episodes per year so maybe 3rd season by 2016.
Stop the sequels high-ranking stupidity.
Group franchises in Top Anime page.
Because Gintama is just "one" anime and not 5.

How is Zenkoku bluray/dvd sale? Is it good enough for new season once there is enough material.

Hopefully for the next season, they will do all the way to the final and not stop at semi final so everything can be done regardless of whether the bluray/dvd sales for next season is doing well or not. Oh wait, there's still individual tournament.

But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

idk about the sales, but that's prob not going to happen, i mean the going all the way to the finals, mangas in semifinals and nodokas match JUST ended... and sakis match tends to be a bit longer than the others... so if it does go all the way to the finals, it'll either stray from the manga like Prince of Tennis did, or come out in 6 years or so

I guess I will prefer waiting for longer.

Unfortunately we all know what happens since there are only four possible outcomes. In the order of likeliness:

1) They win nationals and Saki wins individuals.
2) They win nationals and everyone loses individuals.
3) They lose nationals but Saki wins individuals.
4) They lose both.

I hate to say it but there isn't much to wait for either. A lot of content has been flashbacks that I personally don't care about. The amount of actual mahjong being played is surprisingly low, and for the mahjong we do see we don't actually get to see the hands being built. Basically the show is a bunch of flashbacks about the characters and a few cuts of the girls drawing tiles and calling ron/tsumo/rishan kaihou.

I'd like a conclusion for the sake of completion, but I don't feel like I'm missing anything if we don't see any more of this show.

After seeing the last episode it would be really great if we would get another season its gonna be soon 3years though so i truly hope that they wont stop now when basicly the best of the best are going to play would be a huge shame if they didnt animate this part....
Anyway will hope that we might get an announcement at 2017 or perhaps then at 2018 if its really the issue with the material

So, going based off the previous season, I'd guess we should expect a new season sometime this or next year?

After all, the series is successful, I mean, it's got live action stuff in Japan right now, it still sells. I guess the only issue right now is source material, because they haven't gotten very far with the story passed where this leaves off.

I just watched Saki, and thought it (the nationals to be finished) in only the first 13 episode, but it was prolonged of fan service which is very disappointing.
Chirstmas is around the corner and still no 2nd cour or 3rd Season for that matter.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

I really hope not. This anime was terrible. The mahjong was a total joke what with all the superpowers. The way I see it is if it's not going to take the game seriously, then I'd at least hope that the superpowers have some sort of governing rules, but no, they're completely fucking arbitrary. And to make matters worse, they seem to take turns activating, so it's not even like they're battling with their superpowers. It's paper thin tension building so that Saki can go on a rinshan kaihou streak and end things.

So it's neither a good game anime nor a good battle anime, so what is it? Just another half-assed moe anime with nothing else to offer other than looking pretty. And it's not like I think moe is inherently bad or anything (well it depends on how you define it, as an aesthetic I think it's fine), it just can't stand up on its own.

But, seriously, I can understand your point. Although the super powers don't feel that arbitrary to me though, they can still rely on them to win easily, like Saki with her rinshan kaihou tsumos. In zenkoku-hen it wasn't as epic as her chinitsu, toi toi, san ankou, san kantsu, rinshan hand from the first season.

I hope that they continue the anime. Reading Saki doesn't feel the same as watching those super powers to me.

lol, in hindsight, I can't say I disagree with that image. I was being a grump.

Well, I guess we'll have to sadly assume that there won't be any new season... Great anime though, 7.5/10
