THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
So, now Ayato and Haruka are in the outside world and it seems that we are about to meet the "real" earth forces. Though Ayato believes her dead, I doubt that Reika is considering how prominently she is featured in the OP.

Interesting show, so far. But, I have no idea why it is compared so much to Evangelion.

I'm just watching RX now for the first time, and episode three was when I decided that I might like this show after all. I didn't dislike the first two episodes, but after they explained some things in this one, it gave me hope for the rest of the show.

Well Im watching this for the first time, and I guess it's the whole Earth Vs. otherwordly beings, fighting in otherwordly mechas. And the whole post-apocalyptic scenario as well as the, now overused, non-clue kid who gets dragged into the battle by some mysterious woman. If you think about it, so far, the beginning is pretty much the same as Evangelion.

So . . . Now we get to see more people? I mean if humanity really is still at 6 billion, not every town can be a ghost town. Also are the Mu a race (probably the blue blooded people if they are) . . . Because just watched Terra e... So find that rather funny.

This episode was more like from a slice of life show. Love the soundtrack. It's pretty interesting to consider which side will Ayato finally choose. Seems like Haruka and Ayato are getting close to each other :3
A good episode.

Oh god, I'm seriously watching this anime, which is set in 2015, in 2015.

Seriously. This anime is out to PISS ME OFF. It's SO facepalmful, up until certain lines are said, like 32 million population, England and America gone, Tokyo Jupiter (man that's just about as generic a VK band's name could get), which tell me to change how I should see the series, but no matter what, there is no redeeming this.

I DO somehow like the relationship between a teen and a milf (lel). I'd like myself a mature woman. Maybe I would have been more excited if this was a hentai instead.

I like how this is going. The outside world was destroyed, and Tokyo is in a time bubble. The Mu keep things under wraps; there is so much mystery and paranoia. The animation and color is great. I like this series a lot more than I expected. It reminds me a bit of Big O, along with the other obvious comparison.

Really enjoyed the episode, assume the boat was burned as she heard something and used it as a signal fire.

Fortunately someone heard me when I said that those clothes were the worst choice ever.

Watching this in the 2020s this show has become alternate history now..

The time moving slower in Tokyo thing is what sets this show apart.

The immediate vicinity around Tokyo Jupiter is abandoned but there are still more humans than Kamina was taught,

Finally! We got the name of Oneesan!

Shitow Haruka.

Not gonna lie, When I saw him checking the other side of the world. Not knowing there is no possibility to come back (for now). I thought after that scream that he would cry.

But glad he didn't. He actually man up, accepted it and just keep on moving on.

If that was Shinji with Misato. He would probably cried for 3 days straight and asking when can he come back to his world.

I'm liking Haruka!! She's giving a more Oneesan vibe. Compared to Misato which feels more like a chaperon. Even didn't mind touching Ayato's hands when they move in the boat or during the bicycle scene.

The outside world looks pretty cool and interesting. Everything else feels admittedly dull including the characters, I don't even know what happened at the beginning of this

I don't know about you guys but if I were isekaid and had an entire night with a friendly person that knew what was happening and offered to tell me everything I could want to know I would probably ask them at least a handful of questions about the situation instead of just running away pointlessly in the middle of the night. Ayayto asked more questions from his cracked out mom's voice on a random pay phone than he did of Haruka.

That specific complaint about this episode, I like where this series is going so far. 2000s BONES was a great studio and their animation alone really captures a certain feeling that I love about anime.

This episode is atleast a little bit more straight-forward than the previous two.. although I still don't understand a lot of things. One thing is clear, that life inside Tokyo Jupiter is running in a different time-line and knowledge of geography/demographics than the rest of the world.. Despite lack of clarity, and sometimes doubting myself if I have amnesia, I still find this show fascinating... if nothing, Aya Hisakawa's voice is enough for me to hold onto this show... (atleast, so far)

@silentview Am actually doing a rewatch of this show atm. I originally watched it when it first came out and it was one of my favourite animes as I was growing up. Really looking forward to what you make of the next few episodes (if you're still watching it) because there's some good ones coming up if memory serves me well!
