Genuine authentic Love Hina manga?

Can anyone help me with this, I bought some Love Hina volumes from eBay and some of the pages are kind of overlapping and they're getting cut off from the bottom and it just doesn't look authentic. Also there is some hiragana on volume 1 in some areas.

Volumes 1-14 came from the same seller on eBay. Volume 1 is laminate and shiny, while volume 6 is matte and the red on Tokyo Pop is somewhat more marronish.

Just a bit worried as volume six has no overlapping and no hiragana from what I skimmed. It just seems odd.

The hiragana is just there because they didn't bother translating sound effects. I've actually got all the volumes in a boxset so I might check later.

BTW Love Hina is actually a lot funnier than I was expecting.

I just looked at mine and the sounds effects were translated but the translations were done by Chuang Yi not Tokyopop. Honestly though I wouldn't put it past Tokyopop to not bother translating sound effects.

I suspected either the manga wasn't genuine or Tokyo Pop had inconsistency.

It seems it was the latter.

Don't buy manga on ebay. The manga would still be in print most likely somewhere.
