Seriously? This is how it ends? I'm a bit disappointed.
Was that Ayame's onee-chan returning to the other side in the form of a cat? I'm confused.

I was surprised to see that listed as the last chapter as well, I thought there would be quite a bit more especially after that news about the plague being revealed. But it was sweet, getting the backstory on her sister.

The ending confused me so much...

It was interesting how the cat from the first chapter came back in the last chapter, but the cat becoming Ayame.... And the game started again? But I thought it was over?

Was the statue the one that created the game?
Or was it the reverse Ayame the creator of the game? But the people of the reverse side don't have reverse personalities of the front side people, do they?

But then again, maybe with the destruction of the shrine, perhaps that triggered the statue in the reverse world? But was the front side shrine ever repaired? Will the game just keep looping??

Gah I'm probably over thinking it, probably was a bad idea to finish reading the ending at 2 in the morning... But anyway I agree, the backstory of her sister was nice, and the art was awesome.

This was what I concluded...I'm not sure if they have reverse personalities, but the personalities seem to be quite different? Otherwise they wouldn't have shown the real world version of the reverse world leader, who they said, isn't dependable like the reverse world guy. Therefore we can only assume that the personalities may differ greatly. If Ayame is super kind and on the side of justice, then the reverse world Ayame may likely be the mastermind? :o

What a confusing ending. Nonetheless I enjoyed the manga, I wish we had more female protagonists in a survival game that are just as strong and not stupid.

I got a..."wait...was that it?" type of feeling. With a series of only 13 chapters, I didn't have much hope for this at all lol

3/10.

To my surprise, I enjoyed this quite a lot, I thought it would be way more boring, and in the end I really got engaged in the story and characters! Artstyle was superb, and the plot wasn't just about killing mindless creatures and silly action, awesome :3

Loved having someone like Ayame for MC, if it was someone bland like Takayuki, the way mangaka originally planned, a lot of charm would be gone fromt this short series. I just wish she had more scenes with her onee-chan before she disappeared from our world! Besides that, I really love the idea of Ayame's reverse version being the great, villainous mastermind, when she was basically a superhero on human side. Thinking about it, now I kinda want to read a sequel about their confrontation, lol.

For a two volume long manga, it was pretty darn good, definitely would read again. 7/10

The ending seems not to be confusing but intentionally open-ended and pretty well serving its role. The statue is more of a mid-boss stage that is just a speed bump, and invasion from the front world will continue. The real reversal here is, I think, the nature of each of the worlds. As Koizumi pointed out, inhabitants of the other side seemed to do everything to prevent both worlds' merger and in nature felt to be more meek (no unprovoked attacks). This combined with which side being inhabited by evil spirits never being clearly stated (from the front world's pov it's the zombie looking folk, on the reverse, the second world's perspective is that Ayame world's inhabitants are the evil ones) suggests that Ayame's world's inhabitants are the evil spirits by nature. The crux of the story being lack of understanding on both sides which leads to easy manipulation. Alternatively, just to be cynical, author either wanted to finish the manga as soon as possible due to lack of ideas or got into hot water. No matter how I look at this, Reversal is far too similar to Gantz.
