| Something I haven't been able to touch on as much as I should is the depiction of AOE stands. They have come up frequently in part five and they're always pretty horrifying. Whether it is turning babies old and killing their parents of old age, slaughtering the masses by infesting them with mold, or putting everyone to sleep and swapping their souls with whatever living being was nearby. This chapter was also evocative of two other moments from Jojo history. Buccelati investigating Requiem as some kind of alien being which doesn't seem interested in him, and attempting to trip him was beat for beat Joseph's meeting with Santana. A far less direct similarity would be Mista blasting the cops face the moment he approached him similar to Hold Horse blasting that one guy's ear off before getting into a taxi. Love some zero hesitation gun boys. |

| Gotta feel sorry for the cop, by which I mean the owner of the body, not the criminal soul in there. His body just got fucked up thanks to that guy playing around. Good thing the criminal was stopped though. Considering how he was targeting women, you don't need to think too hard about what he was likely planning, and when you consider that was a baby in the body of it's mother the possibility becomes a whole lot more disturbing. |
