The origins of the Stand Arrows have finally been revealed and it's through viral evolution but I wonder how the cases where the virus wasn't used to develop Stands work. I guess that having emotions that are so strong that it results in it taking form is just one of the few ways to get a Stand. They'll find out more of it from that guy in the Colosseum anyway~

They've met trouble the moment they landed in Rome, damn. The enemy this time doesn't care about who gets dragged into their deaths even if they have nothing to do with their targets so I can see why the Boss despises them so much.

Diavolo literally said the Dio. To live means to crush your fear. A fear, which is coming from the past due to family. Although for Dio, the family coming from the past was a little more complicated than a daughter from 15 years ago. Nonetheless, the exact concepts of overcoming fear from the past to live or 'survive' feels like a direct callback to lord Dio. The glaring sun behind him may have been imagery to evoke the idea of Dio as it was his mortal enemy and what eventually burned him to ashes.

That said, assuming that one line isn't being given too much importance by me, the main villains from part three onwards have all had a shared idea core to them. All of them see what they are doing as a necessary part of what it means to live or survive. In case you don't remember that Dio speech, it was in Strength part one. After reflecting on purpose, it is as if he only saw one road forward, there was logic and philosophy behind it. Kira is literally famous for exclaiming that he just wants to live a quiet life despite his impulses to kill. He is an obvious one for this line of thought. Now understanding this lens, I am even more curious to understand the deeper ideas behind Diavolo/Doppio.

There's also been naming of what should be the last two villains which have a special relationship to Diavolo, so following the final antagonist or second-last antagonist pattern, they could be killing.
