| I participate in some Gunpla communities, and there was a noticeable influx of newcomers to the hobby since GBF started, a lot of their first kits coming from the HGBF line (marketing success for Bandai, I'd assume). Anyone here influenced by GBF? Feel free to share your builds, regardless. I'm just curious to see if there's a sizable Gunpla community on MAL. |
| I've been a builder for 2.5 years now, but I'm from Belgium and there are no gunpla communities here unfortunately. I also need to order my kits from japan, because they are expensive on the cons I go to. Ow yeah, my first kits were hg 00 gundam and AGE-1, really great beginner kits. My collection so far: HG (oh boy, a lot): AGE-1, 00+0 raiser combi, Exia, 00 Qan[T], Talgeese 3, Astray Red Frame, Double X, Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Mina Custom, GP01, GP02A, Victory gundam, V2 gundam, gundam Akatsuki Shiranui, Shining gundam, God gundam, F91, FA Gundam (thunderbolt), Zaku 2 + big gun (thunderbolt), psycho zaku (thunderbolt), RGM-79 GM (thunderbolt) RG: Freedom, Strike Freedom, RX 78-2, GP01 FB MG: FA Unicorn gundam, Turn A, Sandrock EW, Shenlong EW, Heavyarms EW, Wing gundam EW (wanna go for a complete EW set :p) And I don't know if I'm going to buy from the BF line. Maybe one of the build strikes |

| Nice collections. I started building 15 years ago. Started with HG's and SD's. HG Epyon, Shenlong, Astray, Geminass, and Alpha Azieru are the only ones that survived. Didn't do anything but panel lines. Picked up the hobby again some time last year and started painting and detailing my kits. Since then, I've been obsessed with UC: RG RX-78-2 and Char's Zaku, HGUC Kshatriya, Sinanju, and Unicorn Destroy. Currently working on a custom HGUC Delta Plus, experimenting with pla-plates and panel line scribing. GBF did influence me to experiment with more mods. Currently planning to pick up either a PG Strike or MK II. Didn't expect many replies, but interesting to see both were people from Belgium, where I'd assume would be difficult to find kits. |

| I've started building because of Gundam 00, So my collection consists mostly from 00, and I only collect HG Than there's my other collection -Gundam S (Got broken because of bad fall) -Gundam X -Gundam X Divider -Gundam x Maoh I just need to get Double X |

| Unicorn Gundam [Destroy Mode] Silver Bullet Gundam Astraea I'm planning to get a HG Full Armor Unicorn Gundam DM. | Ya know, since Bandai took over the animation storyboard in 100% process , Gundam series are only based to encourage ppl to buy gunpla. The story is cheap after Gundam Wing^^. But yeah thanks to Gundam Age I started to buy gundams. |

There was a time in which, based on what I saw while writing my licenciate work, Bandai took over anime series (not dark anymore) so I stated that Wing was the last shadow themed anime with propaganda in the background, the rest onwards is for buying toys purpose only. AGE had great music, nice live animation, full of mecha, 3 generations of protagonist -sth unique and interesting to me. Because of that there were a lot of Gunplas from it. I like pirates and sharp design of federation mobile suits. Mb, also, it was the hype for Gundam back then overal of sb that started to assemble kits. |
