was there an actual ending? or did it end in a cliffhanger? I was planning to read this, but I'm not really interested in starting something I can't finish.

actually it hasn't ended, for some unknown reason it is on hiatus, meaning the author is no longer working on it (but she may resume it)

right, but did it end mid arc? or were things somewhat wrapped up before it stopped? I don't mind waiting a few years for the next installment, I just refuse to do it for a show that stops on a cliffhanger.

there's only 2 volumes out right now, not 3. BK1 shows there's no volume 3. the mangaka is currently working on Kamisama Hajimemashita, and Akuma to Dolce is on indefinite hiatus right now.

Kamisama Hajimemashita finished publishing 8 days ago as of today so hopefully this manga can continue again! I hope Suzuki-sensei hasn't forgotten /sigh.

Its been about 10 yrs or so I'd say its a safe bet this manga aint getting more chapters. so we can basically conclude beit and Mayaki are together forerver eating sweets
