I just finished watching Code Geass and just finished crying. It was directed and done very well. So tragic. WHY?! I have this empty gaping hole in my heart that I don't think any anime can fill at the moment. I put it right up there with my favorites Cowboy Bebop and Trigun

Aldnoah.zero is only one more episode left & it's ashamed that why this show really gets me even more irritating cuz I found out that everything that happened in this show really makes NO sense till it makes me wanna punch myself in a face repeatedly.

I don't really love it. I just basically watch for... entertaining purpose then react & criticize. That is all.

It's hard to explain for me that maybe my perception are different than others who lived in your states. Hell, I read some of their post regarding the ending of Tokyo Ghoul but boy, I see they just nothing but freaking out than criticizing that how went wrong in that show not only A/Z.

I loved fruits basket. It was one of the first 5 anime I think I ever watched. I grew so attached to all the characters. Back then I was at that phase where I didn't know what kind of person I wanted to be so when I watched Fruits Basket I was constantly trying to be like Tohru, all nice and innocent and pretend like there was no possible way anyone could be evil and that I could fix anybody if I was just really kind to them. WOW. haha. So when I think of Fruits Basket I remember that time so I think I give it way more credit than the anime deserves? I don't know. I still absolutely love it. I don't read manga at all and I read Fruits Basket just to see what happens in the end. That's how much I loved it!

HAHA! Thats the second episode right?

So I just finished watching Karneval. It started off very good. Ep 1-8 was pretty good and then after that it just did this slow downhill roll. Things that you thought would matter didn't really matter or didnt play as big a part as it seemed it would. I usually like it when I'm wrong about what's going to play a major part in the plot. I like the unpredictability but there were a LOT of loose ends and no season 2 in sight!

I'm about to start watching Monster. The last long anime I watched was Brotherhood so I hope I can get back in the loop. Like the last 6 anime were less then 24 eps.

Yeah, Karneval seemed to me like a waste of time. It was a good idea and should have been good but didn't even seem to try. OTOH it wasn't quite bad either.

Monster is one of my favorites. My only criticism of it is that it needs editing. It's too long and gets bogged down a lot. The mystery will pull you a long and keep you going nevertheless. I often felt wrung out at the end of episodes and that lighter ED song felt like a relief. I have a copy of the entire English dub. Only the first 13 episodes were ever released in the US but the Sci-fi Channel aired the whole thing.

Yesterday, UnderShock, our new club member, was asking if anyone had heard news of a new season of Akatsuki no Yona. I looked it up and it looked something I would like. He posted a video of the opening for the show and I noticed the Fungimation had it up on YouTube so I watched the first episode, then the second. I got through the seventh episode last night. Obviously, I really like this show.

I still haven't heard of a new season any time soon, but there are some other good shows that are similar.
Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit is a favorite of mine.

Kingdom is another. I'm hoping for a third season for this one. It deals more with warfare and battle tactics but has a good story.

The animation has been kind of off sometimes though; and since it's a completely new studio, Studio Shuka, taking the helm of this second season the character designs have been redone. Things look like they're going to pick up fast based on the most recent episode.

I have not started on it mostly because the first season was so darn amazing I'm worried this season wont live up to the first... but then again with most anime that have not seen a second season for about 2 years we will always have that worry. I can't wait to start though!!

DRRR2 is waiting on me too. There was a lot is good stuff this last season.

I did watch Garo (meh), Parasyte (creepy but good), Assassination Classroom (silly but good) and Death Parade (a bit morbid but good).

I didn't know any dubs for it had been done yet. It's a brand new show. It just finished airing like a week ago. As far as I know it has only been dubbed in Japanese.
