If he realized that Saki wanted to see movie with him, how would detective beat him when he would be sitting with Saki seeing movie? Is what I mean.

10 000 000 000 yen is right?

Yes, reference Dawn of death, think Shaun of death is another movie.

About Dawn of Death, is referred to scene in shopping mall where no one then lots of zombies. Right?

Are you sure you watched the episode, angel999? Akira was in the film room while Saki was in the theater. He was there to set the film up and Kondo caught him there. Not to mention he probably wouldn't want to put Saki in danger by being in the same room.

Another great episode, bringing up some new information as well as questions. I agree that the pacing for this show has been very good.

I'm really curious about the NEET incident -- were they actually killed, or was that just Akira's (failed) plan, or is Kondou misinterpreting the situation? It's mostly curious to me since the mall where they were held (at one point anyway) is so close to the blast site (where no one was killed) -- and Kondou said Akira held them so that they would be killed in an "explosion." I have to wonder if no one being killed in the missile attacks was the result of people who lived there, worked there, etc., being held elsewhere. All speculation at this point, in any case ^^

Also: Is "The Cold Blue" a real film? I can't seem to find any information on it.

Eh, just until the last episode (2) i was exited about this, this episode disapointed me as hell, i have nothing more to say except that i felt like i was TOTALLY watching The Bourne Identity. This episode fucking failed for me. Akira got owned by a old dude, then suddenly later he just dies by his Wife (?) (i guess) wich identity is unknow at this moment. He even asked Yuusei to not include Saki on his plans, meaning that he already have feelings for her, i just don't like that kind of rushed love wich is the stereotypical cliche story.

Anyway as i said i felt like i was watching whatever Spy show, specially Bourne. Waiting for the next episode to see if the plot actually will change.

I had to see the opening twice as always, is fucking great.

I personally don't really see how this episode is a reminder of Bourne. Maybe you're talking about the books, because Matt Damon as Jason Bourne never would have gotten his ass handed to him like that. Also, the series never really cared about minor antagonists as Kodou has turned out to be. As for the love thing, I think it would be natural for someone to not want an innocent bystander to get killed because she choose to hang out with the wrong guy. Is the show headed toward a mutual confession between the characters? Yes, but I really don't think this show has pulled a Toradora and been so abrupt as having a proposal before kissing or saying "I love you."

But you may have seen more spy/thrillers than I have, and you were just choosing Bourne because it was more universal.

About that, me knew just tired. Lots of work. Boku wa tasukete kodomo. (I help the kids). Indeed Sore/Kore= situation and sono/kono= object but careful of exceptions in grammar. Just made it simple. My Japanese was taught long ago, but something happened as in accident so my functions are not right.

Thinking this person has regret but no memory of it. Akira maybe not want to hurt people so he does not want to fight at all.

Notice:Don't think is possible to save Japan with one person only, cooperation is needed. 100 billions can do something if all combine.

I loved this episode! and I love this anime.

They pay attention to detail. like, I know it's kind of silly and totally irrelevant to any plot or anything, but i was wondering how long that dog was living in there with no one taking care of it. what did it eat? and then they went and showed us how the dog was able to feed himself. He was totally adorable by the way, don't know what's up with its wings but w/e.

Story wise, I can't wait to see what we'll learn about this crazy story next week because so far each episode has been pretty awesome. And I definitely think that Akira's amazing personality is one of the main reason I'm drawn into this anime so much.

"wa" is usually used if you use "sore", "are", "kore"...it just doesn't make sense without it. Also, the noun is always before the verb, so "kodomo" shouldn't be at the end :P..sentence structure is a bit diff than eng ><..

So apparently 1,737,792,401 million yen gets you some missiles, a few expensive houses, a mall full of NEETs and your memory erased lol. It really makes me wonder if he really did have missiles fired at Japan or kill the NEETs. He does seem pretty well prepared so who knows.

Saki has distanced herself from Akira now too, which is probably good for their relationship(they were getting way too close, far too quickly for my taste). Most all, this episode had a completely badass and yet adorable dog who gave us a pretty priceless reaction from Saki and Akira. Every answer turns up another ten questions, I love this show, great episode.
I also think it's good that they part ways for a little while, but I'm not really keen on Saki spending a lot of time with her family and that guy she mentioned before(Satoshi?) either.

This series keep getting better and better each episode. Kondo's death was actually pretty sad, and it seems like he was just the bearer of bad luck all the time. He stole Akira's phone only to find out he can't use it, then he texts the wrong person only to get stabbed. Poor guy. The details revealed about Selecao or whatever it was were pretty damn interesting, and I can see the plot taking an exciting route. Seem like Akira was a pretty hardcore guy before, killing all of those NEETs. I wonder why he wiped his memory, only to go and find out about these things again. Can't wait to see the other eight, and how they react to Akira. I need the next episode! I also have to note that I love the all movie references and how they're used to develop the plot and characters. I'm a huge movie fan myself so it's just nice to see them referenced in an anime.

Also, I remember reading somewhere that the events in Higashi no Eden take place over 11 days. There are 11 episodes, so I assume every episode is a new day. Is this true, or just a rumour?

Another great episode. The style is great. The story is nice and mysterious and the characters are really likable and enjoyable. Still the best show this season. Loved the great references. As to the plot and pacing, both fantastic as we are both getting answers and new mysteries. It would seem that Akira wouldn't have killed the NEETS as he was smiling in the photo so unless he enjoys killing people or believed he was doing the country a favor, he wouldn't be smiling. However the NEETS wrote messages on the wall wishing he was dead, so I have no clue. Also if he thought what he was doing was a good thing, it wouldn't give him a reason to wipe his own memories.

It's quite possible that someone else wiped his memories(another Selecao?) in order to get rid of him and make him wave a gun in front of the White House so he would be arrested and out of the picture. Also the fact that there was another missile attack implies three things. First is that Akira ordered the first one and the copycat botched up the second one when giving the order thus explaining how one person died in the second attack. The other being that Akira planned a bunch of events and we're going to see it unfold in the anime(thus making Akira's past self possibly the main villain). The final being that it shows that Juez or whoever is running this, doesn't have God powers and stuff happens that they don't have control over. It would make even more sense if he was the "Judge"(the guy supervising the other Selecao) and someone wanted to get rid of him for awhile. It might be against the rules to have the Judge killed off but maybe not making him have amnesia or forcing him to do things. There is also the whole brain washing aspect(maybe through their cell phones which could be why Akira had them through all their cellphones away) which would explain how they can force possibly normal police officers to kill random people.

So next episode we prob are going to get history on some of the other Selecao and he will go and investigate. We also now know that he doesn't have elite fighting skills so it should be interesting. Seriously if this keeps up, someone deserves an award for this.

I'll hold judgement off on the movie until I see later in the series if the series need an epic movie climax. The movie might also be a recap(which it seems would work pretty well).

Where is the license for this already? It seems US fans would love this show both due to the references and it's overall Western feel.
