Both Kouen and Sinbad are bad.

I think the purpose from Sinbad giving his opinion through Kougyokou was to give the hesitant Alibaba who looked up to him an extra push. Otherwise, Alibaba might've gone with his conscience and refrained from involving Kougyokou.

I predict that Alibaba might end up accepting Kou's offer, which could lead to Morgianna following Muu's advice.

So the Fanalis are beasts that have tons of magoi eh? Maybe the reason why they don't have much magoi when they are on the normal side of the Great Rift is because to keep the human transformation active takes alot of magoi and their bodies do it automatically.

I like this idea it makes sense! Much more sense than the typical RPG idea: if you're really physically strong you have weak magic.

The samll amount of Fanalis that were shown were shown to be walking on two feet and holding hands with the children Fanalis, so maybe they aren't that savage. They could just be hostile to each other and really territorial/aggressive.

This comment made me read part of the chapter over. I found no indication that the true Finalis showed any signs of aggression whatsoever in the few images we saw. Your mentioning how walking on two legs has any bearing on whether creatures are savage holds much less sway in a fantasy world, or even a fictional one. I do not believe you can make many assumptions except that maybe its harder or easier for them to do handstands.

And damn Sinbad! He was cool in my book, but messing with Kogyoku isn't cool!!!.

I agree what Sinbad did was uncool. I was always wary of Sinbad. His Kingdom always seemed way to perfect for there not to be a dark side hiding beneath it. And lets face it every body, the two syllables of his name are "sin" and "bad" lol (that last part was just a joke)

Read the chapter again, if you look closely at the flying creatures on page 11, there seems to be some sort of humanoid looking figures on top of them.

Thoughts?

Now that you mention it, I see them. Thank you for it. Hmm...

The humanoid figures may just be creatures living along with the Fanalis. Strangely, the flying creatures are like the souls of people.

On this page, I observe that they are all heading to the light which may be the source of the Rukh. The Fanalis seems to be pure hearted creatures since I didn't sense hostility in the scene on page 11.

The Fanalis' homeland is found in an alternative dimension or world. This may be even heaven. Remember when Muu was explaining what was on the other side of the great rift.

"I was on the verge of dying and yet my body felt so light. I was swelling up and my two legs "

Fanalis are somewhat Guardians of the Rukh. Even better, they may be Rukh themselves in beast form which explains the overflowing supply of magoi.

It is know that Rukh gives Magoi since Aladdin used it several times.

There is another theorem. I guess it's Yunan that brings the Fanalis to the current world. He restricted their amount of magoi and turned them into human like beings. That was done so that they are not used as means of power or to be corrupted by Al Tharmen. He did return Muu to the current world after all.

I bet that he intends to bring these people to bring an end to Al Tharmen. He seems to be one of Solomon's loyal servants which explains why he want to help Aladdin. Have you ever wondered why Alibaba went to Reim? Yunan could have guided the Rukh to show him the direction to meet Muu.

Another thing, Yugo also did play a role in the story. Do you remember that Yugo said that Aladdin was not his master?

Yugo's master could be Solomon or Yunan.

Aladdin could be Solomon's favorite and most trustworthy servant during his previous life. This explains why Yugo protected him from the world for several centuries and obtained Solomon's Will.

FANALIS AREN'T HUMAN?

And Sinbad starting to turn evil really doesn't surprise me.

The Fanalis part was surprising, but idk how anyone could be surprised about Sinbad. When I first read it and he took that form of the evil looking djinn, I was suspicious. It was also the fact that Aladdin never seemed to trust him.

Some of the people on the other side of the Rift looked a lot like that dragon guy in the Seven Seas Alliance, no?

Is it really wrong to think that Sinbad is good? Why people can't believe that there is someone relatively good and when it have someone, you think that this person hiding things?
Anyway, I'll still think that Sinbad is a good person. Otherwise, why his birth was a "miracle"? Was is he a "first class anomility" (like we said about Aladdin) Why Al Thamen would be afraid of him? And the magis have felt his birth?

I think that Sinbad is more important that we think.
I don't like when everyone blame him to be "bad" just because he is "too perfect" -.-

Cool chapter! The fanalis people as beasts?!

But I feel sorry for Kougyoku. :( She's been working hard for recognition within the Kou empire. Now she's being used by her beloved brothers as a possible pawn for a political marriage. Annnnd she's being used by Sinbad, the man she admires </3.

Nonetheless, I'm really liking the twists in each chapter so far. Keeps me excited for more Magi! :D
@BiscuitRoot It is the norm of the royal family. They are aware of their respective responsibilities. Each of them sacrificed something for the greater good. I'm sure Kouen himself believes and recognizes Alibaba as a man good enough for his sister. He made sure not to leave Kougyoku in the wrong hands. He's certainly better than the previous emperor who didn't think about Kougyoku's feelings at all. We also still don't know Kouen's reaction if Kougyoku refuses, but I can't imagine him being cruel to his sibling.

Kougyoku has unlimited rights to slap Sinbad and even then it's not enough to make up for anything.
