| Ok. I did not expect that. Shocking, but very good. It opens up many possibilities (Chisaki on the surface - she won't hibernate?). Thanks Nagi no Asukara, I was waiting for something to happen and this wasn't a disappointment at all! Now I'm totally hyped for the next episodes again. Damn, that Uroko gets annoying. He'd better explain why and what is going on! |
| Go figure, you hold a ceremony recreating the sacrifice that saved the people on the land the last time they were threatened with destruction, you dress a virgin up as a sacrifice and put her in the bow of the boat leading the procession, you invoke the god...and then you complain when he actually shows up, accepts your sacrifice (and probably saves your sorry asses)? There's just no pleasing humans some times... Uko always says and reinforces that he is not the sea god, he is just a scale of the sea god, the local manifestation. Think of him as a user-friendly interface for a pretty hands-on deity. What you saw in the manifestation of the waterspouts and the waves was a much more accurate version of the true face of the sea god, although had he fully appeared in all his glory, it is unlikely that much would be left of either village. And let's not forget just what it was they were trying to avoid: the End of the World! Remember just why the sea people are going into hibernation for an extended period, it's because the local environs are going to be rendered uninhabitable for a significant period of time. The sea god is already taking care of his people, extending his protection to the villagers on land may require a sacrifice. Something that Akari was willing to do and, although she wasn't spilling the beans on that to her fiance, I think she understood it was a possibility. Manaka did it willingly at the last minute to save Akari and the sea god accepted her offer (whether she actually dies or not is in his hands). Kaname may also have felt that way when he saw Chisaki and Tsumugu. Because you had a/some sacrifice, I expect the sea god will intervene and we won't need as long a time skip as originally appeared likely. |

| Ok so next episode is called "promise day", Miuna mentions "To the sea where Hikari and others are" looks like a timeskip because of her deeper voice. So possibly Hikari and Kaname were in hibernation in the sea? They wake up, Miuna and her friend are gonna be old enough for Hikari and Kaname, and Tsumugu and Chisaki are gonna be an older couple. More drama ensues! |

| I said last week that I didn't care who ended up with each other. But I think Manaka and Hikari are just suited for each other. I want them to get together, and the latest developments better not get in the way. :( Please be fine, Manaka. Damn you, sea god. |

Anyways, this episode seriously impressed me. The development was really heartfelt, and the Umi no Hito song was cool. Saw the thing with Manaka from a mile away (ED was way obvious) but still, so many feels. Can't wait for next episode. |

More drama ensues! I can totally see this happening O.o. Miuna is old enough for Hikari and they get closer and then suddenly Manaka comes back and the drama goes on. About the Episode: Wow the anime is so unpredictable now. I don´t know what to think anymore, but I´m so glad that the HikarixChisaki ship will probably not happen. It´s the only ship which I never liked. I really hope that Kaname is still alive. I´m really excited to see if there will be a timeskip and if all of them will hibernate because if only some of them hibernate, there will be age differences( which could be interesting). Hopefully the new ending will be as beautiful as the old one. |

| Miuna still have her elementary backpack... so I don't think there will be time skip, but who know? xD At the end Chisaki is on surface, were rest people are in sea, but doesn't mean... Chisaki will stay on surface... maybe she will back and will hibernate... Also I don't think main characters are dead... This is just impossible... xD |

I forget. While the whole situation was dangerous, Tsumugu is a land-dweller and can't breathe in the sea. So he was obviously in the most danger. |
| i'm wondering if this is any real base towards the feelings between Chisaki and Tsumugu, personally, I only think she was like that towards Tsumugu at the end mainly due to him surviving, however when she saw Kaname, I believe she clearly made her feelings well known. For example, at the start, I believe she almost did forget about Kaname's confession. I believe she's being coy about it though. I believe it goes like this with Chisaki: Chisaki<Hikari<Kaname<Tsumugu Brilliant episode though, Uroko-Sama the cheeky git! |

| The only two animes I continue to watch this season is Golden Time(because I read the books and holy shit can't pass up on that opportunity) and Nagi no Asukara. I am absolutely in love with this damn show. Fucking utter brilliance in the art of Drama. This is soon becoming one of my favorite shows, if they keep going at this rate. I think Kaname could have died here because he was the least integral main character. Note that we get to see Chisaki, Hikari and Manaka wake up in the morning, but Kaname's portion is omitted, a lot of scenes skip over him, as if they are treating him secondary. I feel bad already, but this moment is either the start of him being a true character or the beginning of Chisaki maturing her romance with Tsugumi. On the flip side, the author is really pressing the Hikari x Manaka home. Big time. Interesting, I wonder if the Sea God will make an appearance. What happens to Manaka now? She took a BIG hit from smashing into the sea floor. My guess is that Hikari helps her out of the ocean and they wake up on shore with her a bit changed somehow. It's obvious with only this many females they couldn't have killed her off. Simply cant wait until next Thursday. u_u |

| Lots of ships did sink though, and one ship that sailed in particular felt forced (Chisaki-Tsumugu) Dunno If we're supposed to interpret it like that, or that it was just a misunderstanding by Kaname's part because of the situation they're in I believe it was just the latter, but I wouldn't count out the possibility that the Chisaki-Tsumugu ship did sail officially because we did see great chemistry between the two of them from the previous episodes. It probably wouldn't be Chisaki liking Tsumugu, but it's definitely going to be the otherway around Edit: I'm hearing the word "stranded" Hmmm, interesting Edit: So that weird mist thing was actually a barrier? nvm. Chisaki-Tsumugu is definitely a lock then. Starting to feel bad for Kaname now. |

| I liked Chisaki at first but she has fallen down a slippery slope with her ignoring Kanames feelings and not giving him a concrete answer. That scene where Kaname saw her holding Tsumugu on the boat was just gut wrentching |
