| Well they could be worse. While the fillers have been annoying, I actually found it somewhat refreshing to see "classic" Naruto again. Back in the olden days when things were less drama-like. Interestingly enough, during the evac, you can see Haku and Zabuza, along with a few more random characters. xD |

| I usually don't mind fillers-- they're SOMEONE'S creative work after all and that's what I watch anime for: to watch the creative works of others. However, this episode has got to be one of the worst-- if not, the worst filler episode in the entire Naruto franchise. Like most fillers I can at least point out a few good things. This is just a mess. How dare they make these otherwise rational characters just jump to the stupidest conclusions and make the dumbest decisions/strategic calls. Why the misunderstandings? Why deploy all of these shinobi without telling them why they're doing what they're doing?? Absolutely ridiculous. The only thing I can personally say I liked was the tiny amount of Tenten I got, and like really?? You can usually watch a Naruto filler and view it as an extension of the main plot and characters. Like hey, if it's plausible then I'll take it. But this? I refuse to believe to believe that Tsunade and every other very capable shinobi in the village would go about this type of thing in such a way. It's just stupid. They could have written it a whole different way, but no. They had to go with the route that made the least amount of sense. Upsetting. I'm incredibly glad that next episode will be putting Tenten in the spotlight. Regrettably underused character. We're already starting off not so great though considering that it's apparently a D-ranked mission. Still, let's roll. Also, shockingly a stronger response and solution to the corona virus than what was done in some countries. |
