| SOUL EATER = <3 the colors and animation were awesome. i feel the VA's fit... Maka voice fit her. I think it's better this way then if she would have had a typical seiyuu and sounded more like Blair's character did *shrugs* the only thing that pissed me off was the font and coloring of the subs... |

| The back ground music reminded me a lot of the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann OST. o.o; Thats what surprised me the most. The character design is... different. I think it will take some getting used to (especially Soul, he looks like a member of Gorillaz). |

| Holy crap, this was a awesome first eps of a series, i'm hooked already. Not only was it high quality, but the art was awesome. The music is totaly me as well. What is there NOT to like about soul eater? Nothing, unless your crazy. |

| I hope that every fight is as wonderfully "choreographed" and stylish as the one with Jack the Ripper. And he was just a MINOR enemy. I can't wait to see fights with stronger villains. I loved Maka's voice. She sounds nice, subdued, and bored. Considering how epic her fighting style is, the voice adds a ton to her character. And yeah, the ending is amazing. Loved the song and animation. |
| Loved the visuals. Maka's va didn't really bother me. corroded said: maka's voice sounds familiar but when i checked, it's her va's debut? This may be just me, but her voice reminds me of the the girl who sings the melon pan song, only add on a few years. This popped into my head after I went to bed last night, since I thought her voice was familiar too. |

| Maka's voice bothered me compared to Soul's... His seemed much much more matured, and older compared to her's. And yet, personaility wise that isn't true. What's up witht that? Otherwise, I liked it. |
| Great first episode. I got used to the voices of Maka and Soul pretty quickly. And the ED is definitely the best of the season so far. |

I love the unrealism of it -- if you're gonna do fantasy, might as well do it with a big SPLASH! I can see the Dad getting annoying fast though ^^ 51 episodes makes me shy, but I enjoyed this first episode thoroughly, so I can't help but anticipate more :) |

| The first seconds of the op were amazing. Such a complex and fluid animation. Impressive. Also in the show, some fighting scenes and part of the design are amazing. But I don't really like the childish characters and those annoying comedy chars like the headmaster and her dad. That's not funny. I did not laugh one time ... I don't like the character design, though I have to admit Make looks rather refreshing. School uniform looks like stolen from Harry Potter, but kind of cool. Anyway story seems pretty boring and generic (Bleach, D.Gray), so this would be the first show of the season I am actually considering to drop. Story and character-depth is most important for me. Didn't like it very much. Maybe I am too old for this. |

| Wow! Didin't expect soul eater to be this good. The only thing i didin't like was Shinigami and Maka seiyuu. Besides that, everuthing is great, especially the animation. The only problem is if the anime is going to faithfully follow the manga. |

| The animation was very impressive, it's not always that you see CG actually feeling right in an anime. The fight scenes were great too, specially Jack's one. |

| I have to say that the animation was amazing, some of the best I've seen to date, although the art was less so. Interesting premise and characters, this series has great potential, I'm glad I started watching. |

| Didn't know why I picked it up, but seeing that moon made me want to download this xD I LOVE the art, its like 50% anime 50% cartoon. Very unique. Its a good thing the action and comedy where awesome as well. I'll be keeping an eye on this for sure. |

| k ayakashi is not so bad, but i kinda got bored of it now :( i will watch it only to finish it, it sorta boosts my pride or smtg if i finish an anime oh and i couldnt watch that anime(soul eater) because it looks a bit too childish and too cartoonish, i hate that |

| Hmm I see, so the best two shows of the season are produced by Bones right ? Great art/animation and very interesting setting, even though it's a bit unusual (just like Maka's voice !). Seems like a mix of Fullmetal Alchemist with FLCL to me, very stylish and trendy, but still with a great potential of character and story development. Seeing this first episode I wonder if Bones will manage to keep the same quality the whole series (more than 50 episodes ?!?!) because honestly, it's absolutely huge for now, as far as the pace, the animation, and pretty much every thing is concerned. |

| Pretty good first ep! I like the animation style, especially the sun and the moon! I had to watch several fansubs to catch everything though. This will definitely stay on my watching list! |

| Finally watched this (since there's finally a good sub out). This first episode far exceeded my expectations. I love the art, love the animation, love the OP, and I loved the episode itself! :D Can't wait for the next one ^^ |
