Pretty dope episode once again. They are doing a really good job with the opening! I loved that.

5 years, 1 month and 9 days later, Matsumoto is back with another task for Vivy, to stop an island run by AI. I swear the Island in question instantly made me think of Hashima Island for some reason.

Oh yikes, they have been fooled by the professor. The AI on the Island did shut down for a little bit after the red liquid was inserted, but then suddenly they went into a berserk mode and went on the attack when TOAK arrived. At this rate, Vivy and Matsumoto are just accelerating the war they are trying to prevent... They were setup big time.

Preview for next week looks really promising!

Am I the only one speculating Vivy is being manipulated and her mission is actually going to *cause* more issues then prevent?

Can't help but feel that's gonna be the twist. Curious if that's the most common speculation or what else is.

I don't think it's as cut and dry as "Matsumoto is the good guy he says he is" or "Matsumoto is plotting to actually create AI supremacy". He is hiding a lot but this episode made it certainly seem like a lot of what's happened isn't fitting with any clear plan. He definitely has some ulterior motive but I'm feeling out of this episode that it's neither what he says nor the polar opposite. Somewhere in between.

MAN WHAT THE FUCK i actually almost cried when M had a whole imagination on how it'll be if human (child) visitors would come. even though they most likely wont. they had a whole surprise party and make drawings out of wires too what the hell that pulled my heart strings. a human marrying an ai, god i hope itll go well for them. also looks like another vivy(?) is produced in the metal island?

@Avvenirista ohhh yeah it probably is the mother computer good catch !!

That's most certainly the Mother Computer, and it looks like it's another of Vivy's younger sisters.
Matsumoto keep downplaying (or straight up denying) the importance of the Sisters series in all of the AI incidents but at this point it's obvious that they're clearly at the core of every issue they've encountered so far.

Good introduction to the new chapter. However the same Toak agent showed up 3rd time and get rescued again feels out of ordinary to be believable. Expect to see alot actions next week with them all stranded on the island.

Might just be my weird theory, but I'm somehow wondering if he couldn't be linked to Matsumoto's creation (why not his future creator or something like that). It would mean Vivy saves him unconsciously, to prevent her own "death" in the future.

Or I'm just completely misled. But agreed that he's showing up for the 3rd times in 5 episodes, so I can hardly believe his role will be just a secondary/tertiary one.

I kind of get that feeling also. Sort of seems like she's being tricked into causing some sort of AI genocide.

Honestly this episode gave even more hints. I mean... He said the AI island was supposed to happen in 20 years, so it seems like everything he's getting her to do is actually INCREASING the rate at which things progress. Very sus

This was a great episode.
Curious to see how this will go, so far the human-AI relations are very good compared to Matsumoto's future where they weren't. Will this whole incident ruin them. I still feel like Matsumoto's true purpose is to create a future where human vs AI war does not happen, so he's changing it to make AIs appear in a good light. That would be a pretty good outcome compared to his timeline.

I had Nier Automata feels when I saw those analog robots. A reference?
The whole show has tons of Nier references.
From the arm ripping and attaching from ep4 to "Nia land" (Nia = Nier as they pronounce it in Japanese).
The bots looking like the stubby bots from Automata as well. Vivy looks like a blue haired A2.
The "our goal is to serve humanity" parallel from Automata.
How eventually AIs go past serving their creators and get lives of their own (both machines and androids in Automata).

this was the most Automata feeling episode

showing that branching Tree path shows how far off this seems to be going from the OG time line not to mention Matsumoto it seemly becoming less reliable on his info on events happening so a twist that their manipulated into fucking things even more up is possible or diva's actions herself are playing a bigger factor

Metal Float looked amazing but terrifying at the same time the drippy paint welcoming was scary honestly don't know if what they did was good granted the same terrorist group that is somehow free still is causing even more problems of their probelms

I'm actually not too sure about that. Remember, Matsumoto said that the current events weren't supposed to take place for another 20 years, and that technology has advanced much faster as well, so it seems likely that Vivy will be working on an advanced timeframe.

Great episode, I can't stop complimenting the animation, it's really great.

Time skip for 5 years 1 month 9 days and new missions, and Matsumoto reappears in its original form (cube).

Human marriage with AI, a little strange but interesting. Lastly, that guy again? lol.

My reactions this episode was mostly:
- What a pretty couple, oh, that woman (robot) in on the OP...
- That seems like a scary island, but hey, they don't seem to have straight from the path yet.
- What an adorable robot, he had some memories of that human girl, cute... ENTER KILL MODE... fuck.
- Here is that prick again, she had to save the asshole again, HURRAY, now I get to hear that asshole with that blindly retarded hate speech all over again, let him die, please!

Looking forward to next episode, preview definitely looks promising.

Fantastic episode! Integrating Vivy's performance into the OP is so fucking genius, it's great.

The human-AI marriage at the beginning was very interesting, though kinda sad that they didn't get married in the branched timeline that Vivy created, but they're still together.

This episode really reminded me of Nier: Automata, specifically the M AI's. I felt the same sadness for them as with some of the Machines in Nier. When Vivy put the red liquid thing and we saw some of M's imaginations for the future I assume, that shit was sad.

And we can definitely see how much Vivy has grown, like look at how she was in the first episode and then look at her now. Toak's ass keeps getting save by Vivy, at this point I think the Toak member dude will definitely play a big part in the future Vivy is trying to rewrite.

I am assuming that AI we saw at the end is the mother computer, I am really looking forward to the next episode.

Professor is putting his meat in a metal bussy. That last scene gives me blue ball like what the hell I was in the verge of coming and the end credit starts to roll?

The 3d animation during the chase scene and when Toak launches an attack are a little funny though. The models look incredibly bad, but still a rock solid, fist pumping, episode. Looking forward to the next one!

P.S. Diva looks gorgeous in a suit!

Only a 5 year time skip this time but apparently, thanks to Vivy & Matsumoto's actions, the technology of the world has developed 20 years ahead of its time. So far, I'm not sure that their actions are actually making a positive difference to the AI vs Human war eventuality... starting to think this mission might not play out the way it's been designed.

Good episode, animation and scenes were great as always. Looks like we're done with the bear.

That aside, serious question.

Could someone exactly what the "Sisters" in Vivy are? I get that Estella, Beth, Grace and Vivy are classified as such - but what does it mean? How are they different from other Ais?

Thanks in advance!

"Vivy is an AI who will destroy AIs to change the destructive future"
Damn, either the anime will be too pussy to actually make the MC go full anti-hero, or she actually will be one.

Also, am I the only one who feels the episode ended too abruptly.

I get the feeling there's going to be a big rivalry between them, but the guy will eventually join Vivy's side.

So I have a theory on how the time line is going to play out. I think that end result of the time line is going to be the same as it seems that technology is advancing not only the same way but faster in the altered timeline. But I have a feeling that Vivians singing might somehow save the day. I'm also hoping I'm wrong and the show doesn't pull a generic ending like that. I like this shows depiction of an AI assisted future. So often in these kinds of stories you see that shit has already hit the fan and it's presented as dark and gritty. But this is showing a somewhat plossible future. Space hotels could happen and I remember reading somewhere that plans for space tourism are already in place Autonomous factory's and warehouses aren't off the table either as we're starting to make those happen via advanced Cameras and online set ups. The scary thing about this show is that this kind of future May one be a reality for better or for worse.

the cat wire art was actually cute, and the ai even took the effort to use different colors. Would have liked to take that home. :>

M has a dream of taking care of children.. unfortunately, it's not meant to be.

scary how ai can be so friendly, then turn so violent the next second when provoked. They do have a legit reason this time, some terrorists want to destroy them, so they have to defend themselves.

the opening song is soooo good! Liking it a lot. :)

Yeah same here .. with every episode i suspect more and more that Matsumoto is behind all of it and he helps speed things up. Even if they show how timeline goes ..it allways goes to "new" path that is more destructive towards humans.
