Such a nice background episode! I cried when Chiaki finally released his trauma from that accident >.< I love their pairing so much!

The hypnosis scene and the portrayal of the events of Chiakis past were sooo well done,couldn't hold the tears.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Sooo, Nodame cured Chiaki with hypnosis, even though brilliant psychiatrists tried it before several times, and it never worked? Whoa, that's gotta be the stupidest thing I've seen in josei anime series :x I don't buy it at all, it got resolved way too smoothly for this whole build up. Even that tragic backstory felt a bit flat, after keeping it a secret for almost entire season...

Pretty disappointed.

chiaki said to himself that he always has guard up whenever someone trying to hypnosis him,,the reason nodame success hypnosis him means that he let his guard down with nodame..

That's a giant step forward, Chiaki got over his aerophobia, in such a weird way, too, though, probably only because it was done by his love, Nodame. Nodame is going to try winning first place in a really big competition, for the money of course, however, that's exciting, I hope she will manage it.

So Nodame wants to win a piano competition so she could travel overseas with Chiaki. I liked how Nodame hypnotized him.

This was a very touching episode! I was afraid Nodame would do something immature when hypnotizing Chiaki hehe. I mean, the crab part was justified -- it's the least he could do after being cured of his flight phobia. :) But yeah that was a really wholesome thing they did with Nodame's character. Crazy how after all the hypnotists and specialists, Nodame was the one to cure Chiaki of his flight phobia. It's good for the story's sake too... the whole point of a "romance" or "friendship" story is for the two main characters to improve each other's life. So when Nodame's not being a nuisance, it's a breath of fresh air -- BUT the times when she IS being a nuisance are also necessary. Because of the payoff that comes with her benevolence. So, the hypnotizing scene was great.

And the airplane scene was pretty spine-chilling. I wouldn't have guessed that Chiaki's phobia was rooted in the death of someone who lost access to their pills. "I was the only one who knew" is a pretty hard-hitting line.

I was really hoping Chiaki would hand-deliver the crab to Nodame himself. But I guess taking the elusive approach was also beneficial to the story. When Etoh's wife revealed the crab was from Chiaki, it seemed the Nodame knew he made it to Hokaiddo and back.

One of the best episodes yet!
