| Season 1 felt like a well told an planned story season 2 was like " ehh what should we do? Sure let's do that and that too sure we cram more why not I don't care, dungeons? What's that? " I hope they can focus on one solid story thread and woo us just like they did with season 1. I belive in them. |

S1 was not that good, it had 1 or 2 great episodes, it was very rushed but by some miracle they made it work rather well, but I still recall that I found the ending disappointed, and when I read the LN that adapts those volumes, yes it was better, but still something I really didn't like as much, versus something like vol3 ending, the fight with the Minotaur. S3 has the most potential to bring out something amazing, but more so than before, it needs the studios to make it right, give it time, and I hope this delay with COVID was able to give them more time to finish it up. |

And no, S2 wasn't as rushed overall as S1, they just fucked up in executing it properly, first few episodes it was fine, but they messed up the later part of vol6 and with vol7, they just needed much better directing, with the proper soundtrack to nail it in the feels. That is where I m mostly afraid for with S3, but I still want to see Wiene... |

| Was worried it'd be delayed again since JC aren't exactly known for good production schedules. Glad to see it's still on track for fall. I thought s2 was fine, just some episodes felt rushed. |

| The low rating of s2 was most definitely because of the ass filler like plot, not the adaptation. So, I have hopes that s3 is better than s1, as it definitely has the potential to be. |

It is very rare for a beginner to start off really strong. there is the introduction tax that needs to be paid. S1's weakest point for me was the ending which was kind of confusing. S2 was a total mess - pacing, story-telling, animations, emotions were all bad IMO. Maybe the manga was great the implementation was awful. All I can say is, you can look to S3 lastest trailer, it is giving me good vibes. It feels much heavier, there are some light stuff, but the truth is, most that shit happens previously, then it is a one way down to hell from there, and the glimpses of what I saw on that trailer, they seem like they have the direction spot on to try to convey the weight of this arc, in the best way possible. If they do, people will never look to this series the same way again, because most of the volumes released starting this arc and forward are NUTS. Volume 14, in particular, was also amazing, capturing that feel of despair within the Dungeon to the next level, it is bloody, gory, merciless... the real character development for Bell starts with volume 9, the mind fuckery is sublime and the writter turned off his limiters in how much he wanted to make Bell suffer (while being inspiring seeing the true grown he undergoes). |

| Small nitpick BUT, kinda annoys me that whoever is updating this, only now created Wiene entry, and puts her as secondary, whereas Hestia is had the main character... like fuck, Hestia has almost no significance in the arc to come, VS the source of it all. Hope someone changes this eventually when the anime is airing. Can't stand to see best girl Wiene be called support character in the arc that is her own highlight. Yohaan_Pothen said: I rarely feel any excitement for sequels but this new season of DanManchi has me waiting. I think Ais will get pissed at Bell and that will be interesting to watch. The perspective the world of Danmachi has of Bell will change, HARSHLY so. If done well, this will be a rollercoaster of feels. |

| I recently finished volume 9 and 10, I hope the adaptation is gonna be great, because in season 2 they really did volume 8 wrong and cut a lot of character build up and even some fights that were important to the story (the fight against that monster in Daidalos, where Allen saves Syr while Bell was struggling to protect Syr and the kids from the orphanage from an attack of this monster, it was really important for the story the arc that season 3 is going to cover and it's a shame they didn't show it). |
