Lmao.
Looks like anime does a good job explaining what NTR actually is :v

I understand where MC's coming from. I mean if I were in his shoes, I'd have done same. I'm curious why Yuakana is going out with him. And not knowing it just makes you more insecure considering you're beta.

The last segment was infuriating alright.

Yeah, but he found his resolve before he heard those guys talk. Where was the trigger for that?

I bet anyone would be pissed if they hear some punks talking shit about someone you care for. This case was no exception. In fact, it'd been more weird if he didn't confront those guys.
He realized he's wrong coz the moments Yuakana spent with him were genuine. So, to doubt that and say something mean to her, of course he'll feel apologetic after he realizes that. That's what I think.
The trigger happened last night when he was watching Kashii's stream I think.

Geez I don’t know. this was so fucking predictable the moment they showed Dai last episode I could already tell he was this show’s end game. Ugh cheesy as fuck straight out of a 90s shoujo manga “he literally licked his lips” God its 20 fucking 17 and we still have the “MC over hearing attractive male talking about how much of a playa he is and trying to steal the main female…” cliché.

And what the fuck was up with yame san and junichi this episode.
So yame san dating you and trying to spend alone time with you just goes *whoop* out the window?!?!?
Nene literally wanting to have sex with you just doesn’t even matter anymore?!?!?
Wasn’t the prime reason you wanted to ask yame out was to have sex in the first place?!?!?!
Now mr. attractive shows up and now you’re having Beta cuck problems and yame san first instinct is to …. Ignore him????

Jesus Christ its literally the prison school bois that keep this show running for me.
Way to make this show truly forgettable. But who am I kidding these are the same folks that made Hamatora… it was bound to have a shitty ending.

The trigger was learning that now he has 3 girls that are willing to have sex with him meaning that the whole loser pathetic virgin shmuck is only as true as he wants it to be.

MC literally did nothing wrong. This new good looking guy comes along, and his "girlfriend" literally ignores his existence while chatting up this new guy. And when he finally asks questions they all get mad at him. I know the last thing I should expect from this anime is decent writing, but damn that pissed me off.

So much this lol, he didn't fuck around and asked the questions going straight to the point and suddenly everyone is butthurt :D. Yukana should have tried to clear up the misunderstanding asap instead of thinking that Junichi can magically read her mind about her true feelings.

Something like this is expected for a guy like Junichi....It's only natural that'd he would question things like that

But what made this tolerable is how everyone came together and contributed to him opening his eyes and erasing all doubt that's left within his heart and it is for that reason why I'm looking forward to seeing him confront that pretty boy

I'm expecting a kiss for the finale so it's time to bring this shit home Junichi....Can't lose a girl like Yame

He found his resolve at night in his bed after he had his talk Yui and Nene.....He thought about what they said, pitched up out of his covers and looked at his chat with Yame

The scene at the restaurant was just him confirming whether or not his friends also found him to be a dumbass and he was right....Ranko was coming to be that trigger that she thought he needed but as we saw, he already realized that he needs to properly settle things out with Yukana.....His wording was kinda dumb but it's clear that he wants to apologize and make up

Him wanting to go and confront that dickhead is him showing that he means business (Plus, any decent human being would want to set a guy like that straight if they're talking that badly about someone that you know well)

This was the first episode that was a pain to watch, I'm not feeling the netorare theme of it, especially since nothing has even happened between Junichi and Yame this whole time. Junichi was even more pathetic than usual.

Let's hope for a good finale...

The fuck is wrong with this episode? Why is it suddenly the guy's fault for being suspicious when his gf's hanging out with some hot guy alone in the cafe, not to mention a guy who is obviously portrayed as having ulterior motives. I thought it was common sense that once you're in a relationship you avoid solitary contact with the other sex. Yame could have avoided this completely by just inviting his Junichi to go with her. Instead she acted cold and evasion only with the result of exacerbating Junichi's insecurities and suspicious, worsening the overall situation despite knowing that he was already pressured and uncomfortable.

And what the fuck is with all the rest of the heroines breaking character so they can shit on him. That's truly fucking annoying.

As for MC, yeah he was too quick to start self-deprecating and suspecting Yame, maybe throwing a couple childish tantrums in the process, but given that he was already established as weak virgin lacking self confidence, this is hardly out of his character. If Yame truly thought about his feelings and understood him, she'd realize that what she was doing is irrevocably counterproductive and only deteriorates their relationship. Telling someone to "think how the other party feels" goes both ways, and it needs to for a relationship to work.

I agree with most of those who blamed both Yame-san and Junichi in this episode - but, am I the only one who found the behaviour of the OTHER girls borderline absurd? I mean, to an extent I do get it. If you're doting on somebody who has a partner, and that somebody does something bad (according to you, at least) to his/her partner which leads to the two of them break up, you may be a bit shaken. However, I found the excuses of Yui and Nene downright unbelievable.

Yui basically said that she does dote on Junichi, but she cares more about her "friendship" with Yame-san, and so can't stand watching Junichi make her suffer etc.... what the heck? Putting aside the fact that before the holiday episode she didn't even like Yame-san in the least, it is absurd that, now that Junichi is up for grabs, Yui would back off and actually try to put them together when - up to a few moments before, she was doing her best to sabotage them. If anything, the opposite would make more sense - you don't take a totally hostile approach to them as long as it seems they're made for each other, but if they break up you are quick to step in. That's how it generally works IRL. But "real life" seems to be a far world from this anime (so much for ppl who claim to have "learned a lot from this anime", I hope real life doesn't prove them too much wrong lol).

As for Nene... she's even worse. Unlike Yui, she never even had any major shifts in her character so far, which means her sudden u-turn is absolutely non-sense. First, you were mad at Yame-san for stealing your Junichi, and you did your best to keep them apart, and now that they ARE apart, you tell him that you don't want him anymore? BECAUSE now you can actually have him? This girl is possibly the most idiotic character I've seen in a romcom - and I've seen many by now, but this one takes the cake. Again... what kind of reasoning is that? What was the point of screwing with them if then you end up not wanting them to break up??

I'm sensing some beta cucks in these comments. Yukana is totally to fault here as well but then again it's never the woman's fault apparently. Her friend flies off the handle and doesn't even know what happens lmao. What's even funnier is that they hated each other just a few episodes ago and now they're buddy buddy? Get the hell outta here

Jun is a virgin and a loser according to him and is dating the "hottest girl in school" It's HER choices and actions that made him insecure and did fuck all to relieve it now because this show is going to get worse:

Yukana won't grow as a character and admit she was wrong

Jun won't break the guys teeth

I'm waiting for this show to drop the ball in regards to this "development"

The idea is that Yame is totally in love with Junichi and has shown that multiple times and Junichi's fault is not have noticed that because he prefers to self loathe instead to try to understan his girlfriend. Problem is, it's done very, very badly since they skipped all the previous character development.

I agree that Yui becoming friend with Yame and falling for Junichi was too sudden and poorly developed, but I can understand her and nene's behaviour. The basic point is they both are good girls in their hearts and they know how Yame and Junichi truly love each other (remember the scene in episode 8 with the girls watching the couple?). They know that the break up was for stupid reasons and Junichi and Yame could easily make up things, so they choose to help their friends instead of interfering.

On the contrary, if you were "truly in love" with someone, you wouldn't completely ignore his existence, chat up the new guy despite knowing that he's feeling jealous and hurt, shit on him further by avoiding him and acting cold, and hang with the new guy alone in a cafe without telling him. These are the actions of a thot, and there is absolutely no justification for thotty behavior. Even the new douche could tell his buddies "just ask and she'll go with you alone, thots are so easy". If that's the kind of impression you want a faithful girlfriend that's "totally in love" with you to give, then we'll agree to disagree here.

Again, I'm not saying that Junichi was entirely justified in his reaction, but he's kind of... you know.. already portrayed as a fucking virgin loser with low self-esteem. This is exactly what anyone would expect him to feel. You would think that after dating him for 9 episodes, Yame would get a fucking clue, but kicking someone when they're down is apparently a much more logical choice when you're trying to mend relations.

But whatever. I couldn't care less about what happens to Mr. Virgin Loser and Mrs. Tits-for-brains. What peeves me is that all the other heroines broke character to shit on MC as if there was some moral agenda the show was trying to push. Someone like titty-loli should have taken Junichi's side, saying something like "See, only Nene understands onii-chan", but instead she says something completely out of character to shit on him. Ditto with two-faced skank-chan. It's incredibly unpleasant having to sit through 25 minutes of autistic writing and dialogue trying to force a demented sense of morals down the viewers throat.

I'm sorry, but they behave waaaaay too antagonistically in the first 7-8 episodes of the show for me to take the whole "they are good girls deep down" seriously, the way they tried to keep the two of them apart is way too explicit. At the very least, it's not compatible with them evaluating Yame's friendship over being able to get with Junichi, like in Yui's case. And in Nene's case it makes even less sense.

Well, I think both Junichi and Yukana were both wrong for doing and saying certain things, but their huge emotional splat definitely made both of them realize how important they are to each other. Junich is getting more manly too, which isn't usually seen in these types of shows.

I really want to see what happens next week and I hope it's something epic and it doesn't fall flat.

Yukana's old friend is a complete asshole too. I don't generally see people who are that much of a jerk in anime either.

While I agree that Yui's change of heart is too sudden and not very believable, for me the key point is that the break up was caused by Junichi's misunderstanding. Even if they tried to snatch him from yame, it would not have worked because he was still in love with her and they know it. If the breakup was more seriuos, I can totally see either of them trying to comfort Junichi and win his heart.

About Yame's behaviour, I think her fault is to possibly underestimated Junichi's self loathing. He wasn't even trying to make him jealous, she introduced him to dai as her boyfriend and clung to him. But in the end, unless she ran away from dai saying "sorry, I already have a boyfriend and I can't talk to you" I think nothing would have changed from Junichi's point of view.

And again, this part was done horribly. You can't have your main character reject other girls for his girfriend, be all lovey dovey with her and then ready to break up because she talks with a pretty boy. You can't have the manipulative and possessive bith suddenly become a supportive friend. This anime totally lacks character development.

Shinpei pretty much carried this show lol, and it's only thanks to the VA, it turns out that he also voices Tasuku from Gamers!, no wonder it sounded so familiar with the style, I was kinda blown away when I looked it up lol.

What a stupid episode! Its Yukena's fault that allowed Junichi to run wild with his insecurities but its all his own fault? Ridiculous. She set up plans RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIS FACE with another guy! Hello? I can't be the only one that see's something is wrong with this? But Junichi was being entirely selfish? Give me a damn break.

When Junichi started talking like that that's when she should of stepped up as a woman to stop him in his track and give him the confidence boost that he needed that all woman are suppose to be doing, being a help meet to their man. And then either break off the engagement she did with that other guy in front of him or better in private then tell him later and spend time with him on that day and talk about that situation so his insecurities are no longer there.

I expected him to be treated by his so called friends and that masochist woman that way but did not expect it from Nene as she's the only reason I am watching this show up to now but no thxs to the author put her to be another typical person following a stupid trope to blame the guy fully and not the woman who was being selfish from the very start. And Nene has watched him for so long that just baffles me with that stupid writing.

Did Yukena really think all guys would be secured with themselves? Did she forget how he was at the start? Think that went away? And she had the nerve to run away from him as she allowed him to talk more and more while being armed to him and all she could think of was "oh, are you jealous". No shit? You only just made plans in front of his face with another guy with a past linked to you that he doesn't have that is also said to be "attractive". But it's all of the guys fault tho for being a man. /rolls eyes.

LMAO @ this show trying to paint the MC as the bad guy here.

The big titted gal blatantly treated him like he was a nobody by forgetting about him for so long until he was finally introduced. She spent the entire time flirting with some new guy. Then when she gets called out on it, she goes and hangs out with the new guy and eventually is spending alone time with him? She should have IMMEDIATELY made it clear and supported the MC.

What a clownshow.

I just don't understand how can everyone act so retardedly. Kashii-san wanted to help Junichi because she likes him a lot, but the way the story goes on it just feels dumb.

Yame-san despite being a woman with a heart acts so inconsideretly(this actually got me surprised), and to top it Junichi cannot express a drop of his emotion without confusing the sht out of Yame-san. That's why I dislike unintelligent MCs in SoL anime. It's hard not to drop the series, really.

Don't you guys know the ironclad Japanese rule? No matter what vile shit a girl pulls, she should not be held accountable or even feel like she's at fault.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but the art in Junichi's fantasy had some sort of Sangatsu no Lion vibe.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. Almost looked like Umino Chika's art style.

Wasn't completely Junichi's fault here, and it was somewhat odd she didn't introduce him right away. Still, Junichi's way too insecure. Yame's proven time and time again that she's one of the good ones. She wasn't going off to cheat on him or anything. Just catching up with an old friend. Unfortunately that old friend is a dick, which Yame isn't aware of.

Some reasonable and understandable drama in this largely serious episode.
Makes for a good stopping point when this gets resolved.

FREAKING THANK YOU, my exact thoughts

By far the worst episode so far; horrible episode.

They should have kept with comedy, it was being so enjoyable until then.

This episode dropped my enjoyment. It's a shame.
