I mean, dude, c'mon now. Akko can be criticized for a lot of things, as can most of us. She's stubborn, indignant, reckless, at times obnoxious. She's all of this and more, but questioning her integrity or love of others is really not something she can be criticized for. She's noble to a fault.

She is so noble that she invites herself on somebody else's party.
She is so noble that she tried to corrupt a teacher.
She is so noble that she did a prank under the disguise of someone else's identity.
She is so noble that she never fear to boast about how great she can be, even if this overconfidence is totally unfounded and she always ends up relying on others.

Yes, I'm sure we're looking the same show, it's just you're like Akko, you can't tell the difference between right and wrong so obviously you can't see the problem with her. I mean, she is as "real" as you are. I even suppose the people behind the show have probably the same problem as Akko and you.

I'm not sure if I've ever met a person the term "self-righteous" could more aptly apply to. You just questioned my integrity and that of everyone at Trigger while simultaneously ad homineming all of us over a cartoon character. And you somehow don't see the irony in it... lol.

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

She's the one keeping me interested in the show since day 1. I am more annoyed by Sucy tbh.

I do think it's really interesting on the psychological level to see how people perceive some actions even in a fiction or, in the case of trigger, how they write some characters. You probably could deduce things even though it stays superficial and therefore questionable if without deeper analyze.

Nevertheless I'm curious, so you, tell me why you don't see Akko's selfishness, lack of humility and lack of righteousness.

And you're right with the fact I'm questioning your and trigger's "integrity". But don't take it too seriously and too negatively, as you pointed out, when things get serious, Akko becomes selfless with a big heart. So probably you and Trigger writers are like that too. and ultimately everybody has flaws, even I, even you, even Trigger people (believe me they aren't god).

I'm not sure if you realize how arrogant your writing is, especially this line, but if that is how the conversation is going to go I'm just going to abandon ship here. There's nothing to be gained arguing this when you've already made up your mind enough to start warping events to fit your narrative. Corrupting a teacher? Literally what? Good night, sir.

Am I the only one annoyed by Akko?
I am 12 episodes in and can't stand her at all. Every conflict is of her own making, and she never seems to learn from it, or at the very least is learning so slowly that she might aswell not bother. I don't understand how I am meant to sympathize with her plight of dodging the consequences when she screws up.

It has been made abundantly clear that she is at a tremendous disadvantage because she isn't part of a witch family, yet she still decides to slack off all the time and blame others for her weakness.

Susie's pretty great though (Except in the Susie episode)

Akko second best grill! Sucy though will always be no1.
A Story will always come to it's end. The thing is, will you move on after it's over?

Akko wasn't by any means my favorite character (I'm a devote Diana worshipper)

But she didn't really annoy me too much. She's very childish, and I'll admit sometimes I was frustrated while watching her, but she has her own sort of charm.

Kinda brainless of a main character tbh. She's the main reason I put this show on hold-on and still have no motivation to pick it up again.

I don't like her because she constantly takes advantage of her friend's kindness. She messes up and she expects her friends to help her and fix it and then lets them get punished alongside her. Ex. when she resurrects the skeleton after lotte warns her not to she says "what are we gonna do?" And when she's getting punished she opens her mouth and makes things way worse for her friends. And they always help. She has no shame or gratefulness. If being kind to akko only got me in trouble i'd grow tired of her quickly. She's also stubborn and annoying but the ungratefulness and selfishness was the biggest problem i had with her. Diana was right.

To be fair she is a child, and her stubbornness is a quality most children have. Besides it's not exactly bad she's using magic the non traditional way which is actually GOOD

Akko is truly a senseless child. Constanze, Diana and Sucy are way people (yes, people) better than her.
For a culture that emphasizes so much of "reading the air", the Japanese have surprisingly created so many bratty characters who are incapable of doing that.
