| @matias067 There's a little more to it. Ikuta was talking about it near the end of the episode. Poor little spirits. It's cruel what they've done to them. No wonder the Sinack are so angry. I can sympathize with them. |

| This episode really felt dull even tho a war has just been declared hmm. Anyway decent episode. |
| This episode took a very strong anti-theist stance, which isn't surprising all things considered. It only works in the story because the main faith appears to be a strawman. I find it extremely ironic that the main character's faith in science is more zealous than I've seen anyone preach for the actual faith in the story. The most illogical thing about this episode is the difficulty the Empire is having in quelling the rebellion. Having the strength to steal such a large number of spirits implies that they could exert their complete will on the native population. They shouldn't be strong enough to defend themselves now, but weak enough they couldn't protect themselves in the first place. |

| Science and philosophy contradicting a state religion, forced assimilation of native tribes, erasure of culture, oppression of said native tribe, and a subsequent ethnic cleansing of a group of people demonized and dehumanized as barbaric savages. Goodness, this is quite the indictment on similar real-world countries. |
| This episode was much more interesting than the last one. That major is just pure evil for doing what he did to that population, and now he's reaping what he saw. I really liked the focus o Ikta and Kanna, it feels like Ikta finally found another person that things exactly like him. And overall, I'm really liking Kanna's character! Please don't tell me she's going to die in that war... Does Ikta know she's on that expedition? (Probably yes) |
