Does anyone know if the BGM that starts around 15:55 is on any game or it's a fresh new one?
That one sounded so epic with Izuru and Junko on it, really helped build the tension

And this episode proves that Izuru never fall to despair. He's the same as Junko who felt bored with the World and go to despair because this is unknown and unpredictable as both of them have analytic abilities.

Is nobody gonna mention how Junko scooped out a guy's EYEBALL and had it in the same container she was eating Takoyaki from?!?!?! Junko is so freaky! And I like it a lot!

It was really amusing seeing Izuru Kamukura kick Junko and slap Mukuro across the room with one hand. The Ultimate Soldier! For some reason when they mentioned imbuing Hajime with all the talents I never once considered combat talents. Yea, those boatload of people on their way to Jabberwock Island in Side:Future are heading to a royal fucking.

Speaking of, Junko's encounter with Ryota doesn't bode well for making him look innocent in Side:Future. What's this girl gonna do to him?

This episode gave me the chills! First the opening got a super dramatic change and at the end of it Nanami is smiling, where before this episode (in the past openings) she wasn't smiling.

What does all of this mean!? I'm feeling really bad for my girl at this point, I'm sure somethings gonna happen to her. Always waiting for Hinata and he's not coming back.... D: Very sad to see that in the opening Hinata seems to be disappearing and Izuru is now here for sure, so scary.
I feel so bad for him, they did so many experiments on him and completely erased his feelings and all. Poor baby.

Also I'm starting to feel kind of curious towards Mitarai myself, on the first few episodes of future arc he asked Kirigiri about what she thought of the mastermind and now Junko felt like it was a faithful encounter. She only said this when she met Izuru Kamukura so huhhh?? He has to have some sort of connection with Junko and all of the despair events that are about to begin, I feel it! "A Despairfully Faithful Encounter" Both of these boys have something to do with our despair madness, I need to know!

I really don't want to be right on that one since I really like Mitarai myself but... I think its possible D:
There's many theories about him, I want to see where this goes honestly.

Izuru beating both Junko and Mukuro though... Full of despair. Slow but good episode!!

Now we get to see Junko and Izuru in their full glory. Junko is right, a spoon seems a much worse torture weapon than a knife.

Now, Ryota Mitarai. I just knew he'd be important. You don't put a hope obsessed character in Danganronpa without him being important. Some people think that he'll die in the next future episode. I would be suprised if he did.

Junko is going to use him in some way, a way that'll be important to both arcs and maybe all of danganronpa. The most interesting thing is that Junko seemed genuinely suprised and excited. Not as one of her characters, but she herself. Even moreso than with Izuru. Maybe because Izuru is awesome, but simple. (Super talented + no personality = basicly Izuru)

Junko might have seen something in Mitarai that no one else did. Maybe it'll help with the biggest most awful most tragic event in human history (tm).

Wow, that opening, they now all have red eyes, all except Nanami. Hinata was blurring out.

Junko being Junko as usual, aka insane. The horrificness of Junko is that theoretically she is impossible to defeat. You lose, she spreads despair to others, you win, she feels despair.

That infirmary scene would have been perfect if Mikan happened to be present. After all, many of us know who was the most gaga over Junko other than Ikusaba.

With the ending scene, Mitarai's suspicious parameter just went through the roof. I wonder what exactly is it about him that she reacted to?

WHEN YOU ARE AT A EVENT IN COLLEGE BUT THE ONLY THING YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT IS THE NEW DR EPISODE! LOL

So, that hair is the real thing! Some people have theorized that it was a wig or something...
HEY THE OPENING IS DIFFERENT! THE RED EYES! Hajime is slowly dissappearing, that is so sad ç-ç
AND CHIAKI WAITING FOR HIM WAS EVEN WORSE Ç-Ç
Chisa saying that she would die for Munakata...is that FORESHADOWING? HMMMMMMM
OWWWN JUZO LIKES CHISA! I was already expecting that tho. MAYBE SHE DOESN'T LIKE YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE AN ASS, EVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT?
OMG JUNKOOOO! I think it is the first time we actually see Junko directly killing someone. That scene gave me chills D:
So, of course, despair queen discovers about the project. It is so cool to see that they confirmed that she has the analytic talent. YAY! Nice touch anoout her ideology too.
For me she is one of the best antagonist and I really want to see what she is planning to do! pupupupupupu~ She did made Izuru interested (SENPAI NOTICED YOU JUNKO-CHAN)
AND THAT IS A FLAG FOR MITARAI! RIGHT THERE!
I DON'T KNOW EHAT KIND OF FLAG THO

"How boring" yes, it's him indeed xD

I like that character interaction between Junko and Izuru tho. and at the same time, i can know more about Junko xD but that eyeball scene, that was freaking terrifiying just gonna be honest imo.

and dat ending. is that a spoiler for Mirai-hen ? i mean, you ain't gonna tell me, he will be one of the remnants of despair ? and that will be making sense if he is the traitor in the mirai-hen.

looking foward to the next episode XD

Seeing Junko get thrashed by Izuru made my day. I despise that psychotic witch... even if she is rather hilarious.

I also find it kind of funny that Izuru's reason for joining Ultimate Despair seems to essentially be "it sounds interesting."
Important Note: I no longer - in any way, shape, or form - consider myself a moral nihilist (even in my old, convoluted definition of the term). I very much do believe there is such a thing as objective good and evil. In addition, I apologize for any of the posts I've made that are rude, aggressive, or otherwise unbecoming.

I've always striven to walk a path befitting a follower of Christ, and now recognize some of my old comments here as misguided if not outright wrong. If you happen upon them, pray do not let them darken your view of the God I serve. He is kind, even if I, at times, have not been.

Another amazing episode of Danganronpa yet again.
> Chiaki is still waiting for Hajime ;_;
> Komaeda is still missing :(
> Juuzou is in love with Chisa. This makes me wonder if he will turn against Munakata in Mirai-hen
> Junko torturing people i love it ^^
> Izuru is a beast *-* He taked out the Ultimate Soldier by using just one finger!
> That ending... i still dont think Mitarai is the traitor. To me it looks more like Junko was implying that he will die in the next episode of Mirai-hen.

Overall good episode. It was able to put a smile in my face after how depressed i got with that Bleach ending...

It's so good to finally see the main actors of Despair in action :')
Watching Junko is at the same time scary and extremely interesting, what she does goes every time beyond my expectations.

The Project Kamukura went well it seems, Hajime Hinata is now "dead" and Izuru exists and the Despair-sisters have now approached him. Izuru is way too powerful for them and it seems he opened up to the two, telling them that he'll be waiting. Is despair finally coming? Are we really getting to see some real troubles? I really HOPE so. :')

The episode also shows us another "fateful encounter": Junko meets Mitarai. Now this seems really intriguing to me... we know Mitarai has joined Future Foundation and he almost certainly won't become a Remnant of Despair, so... what exactly Junko is thinking about meeting Mitarai right now? She's so complex and unpredictable I can't help being so damn curious about what will happen next and what will she do.

Finally Zetsubou-hen recaptures my attention. Half show is now gone, let's hope the other half has shows us some REAL DESPAIR.

EDIT: OMG I just now realized a thing...
"Junko meets Mitarai. (...) we know Mitarai has joined Future Foundation and he almost certainly won't become a Remnant of Despair (...)"
AH-HA! What if Mitarai REALLY does joins the Remnants of Despair?
All my "Munakata-traitor" theory is going to crush after this but whatever, it's not fun if everything goes well.
If Junko defines this as a fateful encounter, she has great plans for him indeed, so... what if Mitarai really is the traitor in Mirai-hen? I don't have any kind of proof to prove this, but certainly Munakata now has a reason to be surprised when Tengan said to him the attacker's true identity. Who would ever think that a so naive and defenseless person like him is in reality a killer? Mmmmmh.... I like where this is going! (and all the b***shits I'm saying lol)

Now I REALLY can't wait for next week!

Other possibility about Mitarai is that he is going to be some kind of key factor in bringing the rest of the 77th class to despair. In Mirai-hen he is always saying he was unable to save people and things like that.
Or he is somehow involved in the first killing game?
I dunno, I still think the traitor/killer thing is going to be more mindfuck, since Munakata was REALLY triggered. If it was just Mitarai I think he would be just plain angry.
But, who knows :O

i still don't understand how Izuru got that ridiculous long hair after just... 24 hours?

There was a time skip (I think it was about 6 months? Or something like that). But even 6 months is not enough for hair to grow that much. lol

That could be a side effect of the experiments done on him. Similar to Seiko's side effect of using the pills that make her faster -> She takes the pills becomes faster and sturdier, but her hair grows instantly as long as Kamukura's among other things.

The episode didn't feel as eventful as some others, but it did set the mood and answered a couple of things. Which was pretty nice. We are now halfway toward the ending, so I am wondering how it will continue from here. My only complain is that Komaeda is still missing and unlike his classmates I actually miss him... Also, it was sad to see Chiaki wait for Hajime like that...

So yeah, after watching it again subbed, I will still say it was overall kind of boring besides a couple of scenes (Izuru meeting Junko and her meeting Ryota) even though I appreciate all the fanservice that my favorite Danganronpa girl got.

So yeah, is finally canonically confirmed after so long that because of Junko's true talent revealed in DR0 (SHSL/Ultimate Analyst) that she could see several steps in advance from everyone's actions and so grew bored of everything around her and started loving despair because of how random it was, leading people to actions that in a normal, peaceful environment they wouldn't dare to make, making the world around her "unpredictable" and fun.

Regardless of the quality of the episode, it feels good to finally being able to like her not only because she is a hot, very fun and charming main villain, but also because her motivations are now given a somewhat reasonable background instead of "DESPAIR BECAUSE DESPAIR RULES LOL" that was merely a theory until this episode.

Things I noticed on the op.

0:03 The once pure flowers are now tainted.
0:17 The flickering. Could it mean despair is taking over or is hope just losing its light?
0:43 The birth of the Remnants draws near.
0:59 Hajime is in Izuru's "shadow" now and is disappearing while Izuru's own presence grows stronger.
1:04 Everyone who will fall into despair has their colors themes changed in the op. Everyone changed except Chiaki. Yes, everyone including Chisa.

Ok, I LOVED THIS EPISODE because my DREAMS FINALLY CAME TRUE. I was WAITING for this interaction between Junko and the remnants of despair, and I had a few people I desperately wanted to see--Izuru was one of them. It was so nicely played out, and of course there were many other hilights to the episode (such as Munakata squad trying to figure things out), the curry in the eye...giving a whole new meaning to opening up. And stealing of his eyeball o__o

But definitely the HIGHLIGHT was the Izuru and Junko scene. We have a better idea of what Izuru was thinking when he began to follow Junko, and for someone who thinks so logically, he really wanted to go out of his way to experience something so thrilling, so unpredictable that could entertain him and fill him with what he lacks--emotion. What better way to search for that, than through despair, and Junko's life mission + passion is to fill the world with this despair. It was such an insane, psychotic conversation, yet harmonious at the same time since they both had something the other person wanted.

Noww, let's talk about the ending w/ Ryota and Junko interaction for a second. I know what EVERYONE is thinking, and I thought it too. Ryota is SUSPICIOUS af since Junko thought her meeting with Izuru was fateful, and now Ryota. This must mean he's going to join forces with her somehow, right?

I can't answer this for sure--however, I think we are supposed to REALLY start suspecting Junko, and not Ryota himself. I think we are beginning to see how exactly Junko 'brainwashes' or convinces people to follow her. By taking advantage of lost, confused, or people who are seeking for something abstract and taking advantage of them. Ryoutai, would be the perfect target if you really think about his character. He's spending so much time, trying to fill the world with hope by creating anime, he would actually be quite the easy target to manipulate since as he's creating this anime he's pretty much just filling it with his ideas. Filling it with what he envisions to be hope, and focusing on one task, blocking out any and everything else (even his health, which I might argue this is why Junko decided to stop him because she might have noticed this). Ryota is much like Naegi where he thinks that he's spreading hope, but his vision of hope clouds his perception since it's only a vision.

It's incredibly easy to manipulate your actions, when all you have guiding you is a vision or idea, which is exactly why Munakata hated Naegi and wants to kill him in the first place. I think it's interesting how these ideas are sort of probably going to replicate in future and despair arc.

Similarly, if this interpretation is correct, I believe that means the imposter will notice what Junko is doing to Mitarai, or Ryota, and take his place or in otherwords fall into despair for him.
