| This chapter was INTENSE. What really gets to me is that cap guy didn't do anything inherently wrong. He's doing the very same thing that Kurumi herself used to do: chasing down zombies (or in this case, someone cleraly turning into one) to slay them. It's all for the sake of taking back the world that they lost. One zombie at a time. It's not a wrong thing to do. I don't know if it's the right thing to do, but it's not a wrong thing to do. The move that Kurumi pulled on him is... Look, I get it. She's saving her skin here, but she knows more than anyone else in the main cast how it feels to do what he was doing. Trying to bring her down. Trying to bring one of the infected down. She knows exactly how that feels. And I believe it made sense for him to put so much effort into going after her. The new girls in the area (the main cast) are outliers for he and his group. Suspicious. The ones that stand out. After losing one of their own, it made sense for him to pursue her the way he did. I really don't think he was in the wrong. At the same time, I'm not blaming Kurumi. She probably felt that she couldn't outrun him forever with her body degenerating and all. She had to do what she did. No one's outright in the wrong here. That's why it's so heartbreaking in my eyes. |
