I'm just mad they got rid of basically 80% of Guren's team's dialogue. Really. Out of all the scenes you cut, you cut out the character development scenes. We're supposed to see how Guren, the one who always says bla bla bla about family and whatnot, acts differently in front of his "family". Jesus Christ. |

| Wasn't a big fan of Yu but now I'm starting to like him. I laughed a little when they left him behind. Overall I thought the episode was good. |

| feel like i should just start reading it at some point since it's picked up a lot since the first season and a decent amount of stuff is apparently left out. Also Yu really has got leaps and bounds over how he was in S1 somehow lol not sure if it's just the anime's fault for making it feel sorta like a 180' but its good nonetheless . |

| I remember during most part of the first cour I simply hated Yuu. His attitude and character were miserable. I'm so glad that he changed a lot for the better, in fact, he is probably my favorite character from this show now. The whole team became so much more adorable. The episode was alright. The mock battle did look good and was pleasant to watch, although I would not mind if it comes down to serious business again soon :) |

They've certainly kept it going in the same direction, obvs, as that's just the basic job, but they have changed key character developments. Ex: This ep, they removed the actual reason why Guren decided to have a test. Now it seems like he did it to show off, or just reinforce their already bad teamwork. But that was not the point. Another ex: This ep, they removed the scenes in which Guren acts far relaxed around his squad. Even when they[his squad] asked if they were family. Considering the direction both the manga and anime are going, that's pretty crucial character development that they skipped. |

| I love Shinoa, she's one of my favorite characters but gosh she annoyed me in this episode - so I was happy by the end of it that she now realizes that there is a time and a place to mess around. Mika is struggling to control his bloodlust Looks like the battle begins next episode |

| Ok this episode had a bit of everything, funny moments, action and char development. As much as I enjoy Shinoa's playful and somewhat mocking nature, I guess it was needed to put the weight of responsability back on her. Yu is the MVP again by saving the situation and being a match for Guren in 1on1. Can't blame Shinoa for being like she is, since well her family situation seems complicated, I mean the entire Hiragi thing seems to be a total mess. But now she has learned real hardship, the same with the rest, so now that the check is done, it is time for them to grow up. As for Mika, it seems the time is coming closer, it won't be long it seems before he tastes human blood, I wonder who shall be the candidate? |

It's just WIT. No, my point was that they weren't fighting on even ground, but he atleast managed to block, parry and achieve some strikes. The bad part, in the anime, comes when the battle takes like 3 minutes. He's not supposed to be able to fight against Guren that long, as one is clearly more experienced than the other. (No, just becus it's a shonen doesn't mean the veterans should be losing to the newbie protags. :P) Tho, if they were fighting on even grounds, I doubt Guren would be able to pull out the ward and place it on Yu as fast as he did. |

| Pretty good episode. I actually liked the ''punishment'', that was some pretty good teamwork of the higher-ups, and it sadly showcased how far behind team Shinoa are. There's one thing I don't understand. Guren has probably figured out that Kureto sent him on a suicide mission, and Shinya pretty much confirmed it, yet he's still going along with it. Even disregarding that, even one noble can pose a challenge to him, so how is the small army he amassed supposed to take out 10 of them? 4/5 That Aventador... mira-nyan said: Also, lol @ destroying the ferrari. | This was a wake up call for Shinoa. I hope they can work together with other team. |
| Most of this episode focuses on Shinoa Squad's lack of teamwork, starting with Shinoa trying to ditch Yuichiro as they head to the rendezvous point, and ending with Guren teaching Shinoa a lesson about how she needs to improve as a leader and how her squad needs to work on teamwork. We also meet a new squad that Shinoa Squad will be partnered up with, and it's obvious the leader of this squad doesn't like Shinoa Squad. For this portion, the main action came from the battle that Guren initiates in order to teach Shinoa a lesson. Near the end of the episode, we also get to see Mika and the struggles he has about not wanting to drink human blood. It's becoming clear that he's having a harder time relying on Krul's blood alone, and he nearly gives in to a desire to drink human blood. From the preview for the next episode, it looks like the battle in Nagoya will be getting underway. The preview also makes it appear that the next episode will likely be more action-oriented than this one was. Overall, this episode wasn't nearly as boring as last week, but there was still a section of two that felt a little slower. |

Don't know how Mika was being annoying he didn't say anything and was in pain unless you find that to be annoying cough unlike Shinoa who decided to get her whole team in trouble and I agree with Guren that she needs to stop messing around like that and needs to be serious because the nobles can kick ass. This episode was pretty boring except for the last part with Mika, he needs some blood. Hmm who will be the lucky one I wonder. Also where the f**k is my Ferid he's just too fabulous. The vampires need more screen time they are interesting. |

| I liked it better when Yuu had a more aggressive and cool personality, and really do not like the Guren and his profiteer personality, finally the fight against vampires arrives, I look forward for the battles in the next episode .. |

| I totally disrespect Mika's resistance and urge denial in drinking Human Blood and acting tough that he doesn't need it...but look he almost snapped! poor Mika! Fight was a bit cool, Yuu's team lost against Guren of course because thay aren't fighting seriously or arent fighting for their lives... wow so many added characters...only to get killed by random vamps and stronger nobles... 4/5. |

Like right now it feels like the viewer is getting beat over the head with FRIENDSHIP FRIENDSHIP FRIENDSHIP FAMILY FAMILY FAMILY FAMILY FAMILY and it's extremely cringeworthy. I mean, I know soldiers are really close with their units in real life, but come on. |

| I'm so happy to not have dropped this show during the first season. The characters are so much enjoyable in this season. Yuu is finally became mature and he thinks how he can make progress. Shinoa is still a troll, but Glen teached her than you can't play with your teammates on the battlefield. |

just so they can portrait them as newbies...then that fight....how could they overpower them so much??? Well they are newbies. Your argument is really stupid, you know. Is there something wrong with a superior person overpowering the lesser? In total agreement with the res ponder. I mean I like an exceptional character and all but the whole strong-as-the-speed-of-plot is way over used in anime. Newb who couldn't hold up his sword is killing orcs 10 times his size in episode 2 three days later? Yea, bullshit. I'm not interested in DBZ-length leveling but it would be good to show a bit more humility in anime. I have had a character in a story I'm makig (for a while now) and I refuse t let him be "special" or "gifted" in the way typical anime/cartoons work. You gotta earn your title, earn your strength. The whole "experimentation" shit is weak sauce as it is in this point in anime.
