| I'm probably being overly oblivious here, but what is it with the little chickens scene they showed a few times when Afro-kun was doing/saying something stupid. Heh, I tried to look this up if it was an anime trope, but didn't find anything. :P |

| In just one episode, Kurihara and Nanako have made more romantic progress than what Takeo and Yamato have done in 17 episodes... Seriously though, it's about time Suna hooks up with someone. Sigh, if only Saijou was invited. |

| I don't even care about Suna on the romantic side, I just think his character development overall is pretty stale. It was shown already he's smart, but he's nothing but a shadow beside Takeo. And for a guy who appears like every episode...... |

| Suna just stood there watching the entire episode. And he was still a boss. Also, so people try to get that star but fail, do they fail like Kurihara? Falling down? I can't see how else they would fail, if so, who's there to catch them. |
| Man, I just knew with the title of the episode I wouldn't like this episode. I have this history of hatred or indifference to most Christmas episodes of anything ever, regardless of how much I may love the series & sadly, this wasn't an exception. Hell, it wasn't even that Christmas-y (on a side note, have another Christmas episode coming up in Toradora, hopefully that one is an exception to the rule [odd to have so many anime Christmas episodes line up in a row like that]). It wasn't *terrible* but it was way too predictable (who didn't call how this plot would work out once they introduced the star on the tree?), lacked Suna (think everyone in this thread is upset about this, lol) & the characters on focus here aren't particularly interesting (really, prior to this they were just the most noticeable of Takeo/Yamato's respective circle of friends [& no, I'm counting Suna]). This episode didn't particularly add much too them & while perhaps the most accurate portrayal of how relationships develop for teens, it was a little annoying to sit through, probably because of how blatant it was that these characters that I have no emotional investment in would be winding up together by episode's end. Ignoring all that, there were still funny moments, like how Takeo pushed Kurihara next to Nanako, the "indirect kiss"or Vindstot's reply to Nanako's hand question. But the highlight of this episode for me was the very ending, Yamato's reaction to the newly-couple's kissing was both funny but seemed to be foreshadowing that Yamato/Takeo will be taking the step soon. Call it a hunch but having the "indirect kiss" earlier on in the episode then ending with Yamato depressed over the lack of kissing, not to mention that the next episode is about Takeo's Birthday according to the preview, I'm predicting we'll be seeing them take that step next week. I mean, they could just dick us around again but I'm leaning to it happening, Suna's [forced] sacrifice must not be in vain. |

And poor Yamato.... having Nanako steal ahead is like helping her friend cheat on a test and then having said friend get a higher mark than her when the results come out, it's pretty devastating stuff. |

Apart from the perfect duo we have Ai and Oda the unrequited sempais which are gonna end up together because Japan. Saijou is the unrequited "kohai" (or in this case disciple) whose participation in an important arc finished. And then we have Suna the cool mofo. | One of the many reasons why i love this show. It makes me ship another pair, and in this episode, man, i was shipping Nanako and Kurihara (Osamu welp) so hard in this episode haha. Ofc, Suna is still bro of the year wi/o girlfriend. Forever alone. |

Also i think people are starting to lower their ratings for this anime as its just too sweet and not enough deeper plot. Im okay with it though, i dont mind diabetes. But seriously, when do we get into Suna's story. tht will probably make or break this show |

| It was nice to see an episode Centering around the Supporting cast (i actually had all but forgotten about them.) The fact that a place of business would indulge its customers to do something so dangerous as climb that tree is absurd though. (hell it worked out though...so cheers?) I was wondering about the first kiss between Takeo and Rinko... surprised that it hasn't happened yet. |

| I actually don't want Suna to do the same as everyone else, I don't think he's ready. Love comes in many forms, and even if he's actually going to know someone, start a relationship and all, first he needs to make new friends and learn to open himself to others. He's still a mystery, and mysterious people are no good for their couples. |

| Heh.. the most entertaining episode in a long time and surprise, surprise.. it doesn't involve both main character. I'd probably kill myself if they drag the whole kissing thing. Afro dude is quite the player though.. not many men would dare to attempt holding hand on the first pseudo-date (since they weren't officially dating yet). Then he played the vague "does he, does he not" act that's guaranteed to make girls worry and can't keep her mind off you (albeit obliviously). To top it off he managed to "force" a kiss at the end. Takeo might be stronger but it's obvious who's the real man here. | IMO, Kurihara was really annoying and didn't really deserve the girl. I mean, who grabs a girl's hand and releases it when his friends are about to look. It's okay to be shy, but denying and saying "you're just friends" out loud, esp when you're planning to confess to her. Ugh. And whenever he's does wrong, he has to climb a tree (figuratively). But kudos to them for having a quick romantic progress. Next week, babies? LOL!! I like it when Suna just observes quietly. Its okay he's still single. When the time comes, he'll get a great, splendid girl... probably even better than Rinko. I hope. |
