| The ends of the universe, black holes, threads of infinite destinies, billions of years and primitive Earth. Yep, Gainax has been here. Surprise doesn't even begin to describe what this show ended up being. What I thought was going to be a light serving of CGDCT ended up blowing my mind on multiple occasions. If I had to describe Houkago no Pleiades in one word, I'd go with stunning. I love the art (especially those half time wallpapers), the OP is absolutely gorgeous, and it spared no mercy to remind me how massive this universe really is. Although this series progressively went further into the depths of infinity and beyond (had to Buzz, sorry), I really enjoyed the character building episodes that were far more down to Earth. I could end up relating to Hikari's fears of seeing things through as well as Nanako's feelings of solitude and isolation. Above all, however, this series really did convey just how expansive the universe really is and how small we really are in comparison. But I don't believe our significance is dwarfed by this as a result. If anything, I think this anime emphasizes how each of us has potential to tap into and that no matter how small or slight, we should tap into it. I really thought all of them would be reunited with all of their memories in tact, so it was extremely bittersweet when Subaru encountered the rest of the girls who had not been on that adventure with her. On one hand, it made me sad that they really did go their separate ways. On the other hand, it also makes that farewell scene all the sweeter and goes to show that no matter how many potentials and possibilities are stretched out in front of them to choose, they will always be together in each and every one of them. 8/10, definitely my biggest surprise of the season. |

| So they all sorted out their problems and changed then forgot everything, but still end up together by the strings of destiny :'( 8/10 I guess it's a happy ending, sort of. |

| Finally done with this series. It a okay series. I like the animatiobn, the character designs, and atmosphere. But the story felt bland and average. 6/10 |
| Well that's that, not much to say actually, the overall ending was pretty decent as it wrapped up the story somewhat properly, but the whole series is something else. Still found it way too slow paced and it had a lesser good atmosphere than what the prequel ova's had to offer. Either way in general it was fun to watch! |

| The only complaints I have with this show is that the story was weak and that the character development just comes at you outta nowhere. Otherwise it was a neat show, great OP and ED and beautiful art, I also loved the character designs and the eye catches were absolutely gorgeous. 8/10. |

| I did not like the ending. The "reward" from the alien sucked. Why couldn't they just stay together in the same universe? What benefit was there in separating them? |

| Finally got around to watch this, quite a nice ending imo, still wonder what'd become of Minato, since he isn't wearing the oxygen mask he probably woke up from the coma, had he died they wouldn't simply take off the mask and let him lie there, anyway, nice ending for a nice series |
| So they went into the past or what? The kiss was just begging to happen. Overall the show was decent, the better episodes were the mini character arcs. But that President, such a spaz. As quickly as the final fragment was collected, he takes off lol. And the girls all go their separate ways. Bittersweet imo |

| "Guilty Pleasure" I have never even once, think that the story is that impressive. it's just an okay story, or in a crude way, it's just a mere story without any meaning or interesting things. it's just a fun, entertaining and enjoyable story, atleast in my opinion. even i think it's the same thing with the character development/friendship and the romance. well, i'm not gonna say it's bad, i'm just gonna say that it's very hard to understand. 2deep4me. it was so cute and sweet in my eyes but at the same times i don't understand what's going on with the romance. not fully but just there is some parts that i don't understand and i don't even know what are that parts which i don't understand lol for the art, honestly, the art is the only thing that got me into this series. and the soundtrack too especially that op song. that's all. those two are the ones which got me into this series and made this series enjoyable and fun to watch to me. first, what's the fun thing about this series; just one simple thing and that is, they were going into space, searching for fragments for their president's spaceship. i mean, they went into moon, saturn, sun and even outside of the galaxy AND even they went into a black hole in this finale. it's just so ridiculous that i can't even say anything honestly. but that's the thing which entertain me and looks fun to me, at how ridiculous it is xD the way the story went...it felt weird imo, but this ending, this finale, the ending, it was so emotional that almost made me cry tbh. the characterization, most of them are okay imo. same with the character development but somehow it felt weird at the same times. but regardless of that, i still enjoyed it a lot. one of the main reason why i like this anime a lot cause it has a smal scale story....no...i mean the characters xD i always like an anime with a smal scale characters and especially with a quite or more like mysterious op and great yet mysterious art and animation. something like cencoroll. 9/10 or more spesifically 8.7/10 why ? cause i'm being salty right now. y'know what i mean ? there is still a better way to concluded that freaking romance like Yui and Hinata in Angel beats episode 10, AM I RIGHT ? seriously, if they made it like that, for sure i would cried. but too bad that, that's the ending. well, it was emotional but i think they could made it more emotional than that. sorry to say, it's a waste of potential. regardless, the romance still looks so cute and sweet in my eyes. goddammit i want to see more. give me second season, gainax!! "Subaru's highschool life" or something like that. it focus more on the romance and at the same time deepen her relationship with the other girls "again" why not ? it would be awsome imo. especially on the romance. well, it depends on how they make it tho... anyway, thanks of the show. i enjoyed it alot. it was an enjoyable and fun ride xD XD i have no regrets at all!!! xD xD XD |

Itsuki oppai. Watashi wa. They disappeared. Dat moon. Subaru and Aoi meet ago. lol at the red haired girl making that face at Subaru. LMAO at Subaru. Itsuki is back and she cut her hair. Minato still in the bed. That voice at the end. Dat End card. And that was end. It was a okay series. |

| 5/10 So. Average. But has enough that I liked in it to stop it from being rated as anything bad. Mostly as mentioned, looks pwetty, but so do a lot of other things. Probably Subaru actually getting a main-squeeze sort of added a point to me as well. I'm a bit of a sucker for simple little romance plots. Mostly didn't enjoy the lack of characterization. A lot of it was assumed based on tropes, which I can sometimes forgive, but this was pretty lazy I felt. Bit of a missed potential, and still see that Gainax can give Gainax endings, still liked it enough to write a little bit about it. To summarize: Astronomer fanservice with Magical Girls. |
