Guys, the official website added a new character: Oki Chouko!

Thanks for pointing that out. She is the first additional character to be added to the
original list of twelve main characters since the series started. I am wondering when
the mini-synopsis is going to be posted on the official website, since it had already
been posted by this time last week.

Tweets from Bonjour Suzuki (who sang the OP) are kind of interesting because she
never uses periods. In place of periods, she uses cute symbols like these, which
appear in color in her Tweets, but only in black here:

. . .💕. . .🐻. . .⭐️. . .💦. . .. .💧. . .

While I'm sitting here waiting for them to post the mini-synopsis for Episode 11
on the official website, I have been looking back at the threads for some earlier
episodes. I was absolutely astounded to find that, back on January 22nd, one
person here made a post that seems astoundingly prescient!

That post was made by:

Rather than just cutting and pasting the part of his post that appears to be
prophetic, I decided to re-post his entire post, just so that I am not taking
anything out of context. But I bolded the part that interested me. Anyway,
here is his January 22nd post:

Wwwooowww!

Yeah.

Looking back at previous weeks, they have always posted the mini-synopsis on
the official website well in advance of the episode airing. This time they are very
late. So I am guessing that they are busy with other more important things.

Maybe 50% of anime series have a habit of posting a three-line mini-synopsis of
each upcoming episode prior to it airing. A few still preview images are usually
included along with it.

Don't worry about Ikuhara. He is alive, healthy and conscious based on the
activity on his Twitter account. Three hours ago, Ikuhara himself tweeted
that you can buy a six-pointed star pendant with a pink ribbon from Animate:

It looks like an awesome star pendant. He has also been re-tweeting some stuff.

UPDATE AT 9:30 am EASTERN TIME, 6:30 PACIFIC, 10:30 pm TOKYO TIME:

http://p.twpl.jp/show/large/ftgTa

At 9:57 pm Tokyo time, Ikuhara tweeted out this simple line drawing along with
the short message, "Working hard on Sunday night at Yurikuma Studios. Gaugau."
So it sounds like Episode 11 isn't quite in the can just yet. Maybe Gingko is going
to have to pull an all-nighter drawing key frames. I don't know what the writing
in pencil says.

What does this picture mean? "suki o akiramenai gau", does this mean that he is working hard for his show? I expect a 9/10 ending from this anime. がんばれ、いくはらせんせい~

If they are going to be up all night hopefully isn't doing key frames, then this has to be episode 12 they're working on as there is no way the show is making it to air tomorrow (unless it's a single short scene they decided to rework or something). About 30 hours between drawing the rough version of the scene and making it to air? This isn't South Park, you need to get the voice cast back and work on inbetweens (which computer programs can handle to a large degree, but still.

Honestly, Even if they are talking episode 12, that still sounds pretty tight (though not unheard of.)

I find this even more likely with the whole mirror metaphor in the fairytale.

Court = Wall = Mirror

And what happens to the mirror in the work? Moon Girl and Forest Girl smash it to pieces from their respective sides.

Court always presents a choice between two things to be desired and the defendant has to chose, speaking about balance, yet making people chose between extremes.
Chances are the court will present the choice between two things that they will be unable to make.

I noticed two very interesting Tweets just now which are both very good news:

At 4:52 pm Tokyo time (3:52 am Eastern, 12:52 Pacific) Ikuhara sent out a short
Tweet containing this beautiful calligraphy, presumably done by him, which says,
"This evening checking Episode 11." That sounds like promising news to me. But
of course, it's possible that he might uncover some problem during checking.

Link to Tweet: https://twitter.com/ikuni_noise/status/579913582168567811

At 5:25 pm Tokyo time, the official Twitter account for the series sent out a
message announcing that [as expected] Episode 11 will be aired on TOKYO MX
at 12:30 am. There are just two more episodes to go. Also, the episode title is:
私たちの望むことは
Sorry, but I don't know how to translate it into English.

The official website for the series still does not show the title of Episode 11 or
give the usual three-line mini-synopsis. Maybe it's hard to synopsize.

Based on Google translate and the general format of these titles, it looks like "That Which We Desire".

I can't imagine that Ginko and Kureha are going to destroy the Court/Wall in a way similar to the story book, if only because narratives rarely tell you a plan unless it is destined to fail, Reia is portrayed as an idealist (though to be fair idealism isn't treated as a vice by Ikuhara, just makes for a ripe target to challenge), and the OP/ansillary materials suggest that monogamy might also be a target (since so much conflict in the series is driven by jealousy, but that might be a false lead or just a show Lulu is going to self-sacrifice for love and move beyond jealousy the way Ginko has to) in which case Lulu was an x-factor Reia couldn't have anticipated.

Honestly, I expect that either Kureha will end up on the bear side of the wall and they destroy them from the opposite sides, or the Judgemens get the upper hand shortly before the end only for Lulu to arrive with the cavalry of her kingdom which loves her and she can convince opposition to humans isn't the answer. Something has to be subverted, it's just a question of what.

I am getting antsy though: Ikuhara is all about the bittersweet ending, and I don't think Yuriika fits the bill entirely. Sacrifice and love are directly tied together in Ikuhara's works, so I am skeptical that Love Conquers All means happily ever after for the three girls.

Guess Kureha said to Lulu that they were not friends so she could not be in danger, I will miss seeing Lulu's human form...

In other words, Kureha's mom wrote lesbian fanfiction of her daughter and her friend. Just what occurred to me when I saw the end of that storybook lol.

That laser gun was overkill. I was internally yelling "NOOOOO" while it was charging up but thankfully it didn't hit Lulu! Those girls are setting themselves up for a career in terrorism, damn!

I also get the feeling that that most certainly won't be the last we see of Lulu. I can't imagine her staying on the other side of the wall with Ginko still on the other side, and she doesn't know whether or not Kureha is okay. Actually, she might not even know if Ginko's still kicking or not. I'm not sure. All the more reason for her to stick around!

All in all, a nice episode. ^^

Wow Lulu is just my favorite character in this show!
In my opinion she had the most characater development and is really relatable at times.
Please let her be in the next two episodes and please let her have some kind of happy ending because she really deserves it.

Why lol?

- Did Lulu appear in episodes 11 and 12? Yes.
- Did she get a happy ending (in the sense she was happy with what happens)? Yes.

Their wish came true.

Seems easy to assume Kureha sending Lulu through the door and telling her that she'll kill her if she ever shows up again was just her way of protecting Lulu, but that's not really what I got out of it.

Kureha forcing Lulu away seemed to me like a message that as long as a wall of severance exists between two parties, no one, no matter how understanding or open they appear, will be able to truly accept the other party divided by the wall of severance. Even Kureha, insisting that she would doesn't want to exclude anyone, still sent Lulu away and threatened to kill her if she ever returns. There's still that separation between them. As long as that separation exists, a girl can never call a bear her friend.

Quite a powerful message I must say.
