Whatever happened to that typical fairy tale ending where the prince and the princess ride off into the sunset? :(

I love how Hitsugi's wish was to have both her and Chitaru be removed from the Black Class when she succeeds killing off Ichinose. But duh the producer just has to toy with my heart and dump two character deaths onto the audience in one same episode. Till death do us part. Effing yuri love be mashing my <3 to pieces </3

Is it confirmed that Shiena is disqualified though? Given the fact that she did not intentionally want Ichinose to see her warning note that same night.

um... that was a rather realistic play? not really unexpected but I didn't want them to graduate/die so early T.T gotta love the part where the audiences totally fell for it and the teacher seems to be feeling accomplished about the play lol~

So in the end Shiena is a total side character that didn't even have the chance to try and kill Haru? That's just sad?? ==

I really wished this anime wasn't a battle royale anime which will limit the amount of character development for each character. I enjoyed this episode though since I like the implementation of Shakespeare's play into this episode.

The manga had some development to the characters before they get offed. Chitaru interacted with Tokaku about Angel Trumpet, but that was cut out. It's an adaptation that's going past the manga, and they do have to rush some things. Dangan Ronpa had the same issue with their cast of characters getting eliminated at a fast rate without fleshing them out. And not to mention the trials and investigations were pretty rushed...

For the episode, knew Kirigaya was Angel Trumpet. Knew Chitaru and Kirigaya were going to die together somehow. Shiena dying... didn't really think anyone in the cast would get one-shotted like that.

Yeah, this episode was sweet and romantic.

I think you are right. As for the riddle (綺麗な花には□□がある, Kirei na Hana niha _ ga aru.), it is a well-used phrase in Japanese, "Kirei na Hana niha Doku ga aru". Doku means poison.

It was a good episode. A sad one. Though, I found it a bit forced, especially at the end, and so I couldn't help laughing a little bit... I'm a terrible person :P

It was so fucking hilarious how they used the plant to censor Chitaru body xD

Like I said, I found it a little bit forced. Like when Hitsugi come out of nowhere and tell Chitaru that she was the Angel Trumpet. Why would she do so? She's a psychopath, why would she give a damn about Azuma.

Also, when Chitaru drank the poison, I found it a bit stupid. Why would you get attached so much to a girl you met some months/weaks ago and that fooled you for such a long time? The way she killed herself looked like a bad acting :P
I started laughing even more when the public started applausing and someone said ''I thought they were really dead at the end!'' xD

So were basically in uncharted territory compared to the manga. It started off the usual with a girl getting semi closer to Ichinose (director-actor) but she got taken out before I even had a chance to try and forget her name later on. Then we advance on to the ever growing side romance between Chitaru and Hitsugi. So when it comes down to the reveal/betrayel it was a pretty big twist. Though in proper Romeo & Juliet anime play fashion the final scene gets messed up. And instead we get a pretty sentimental murder/suicide which I'll put down as one of the most emotional scenes this year.

The lyrics of the ending song make the episode ten times as sad,
"Even tragedies seem romantic when I’m with you
I went crazy the moment i first laid my eyes in you,

I’ll burn in a box the past, the present and the future.

Even the innocently laughing angels
will seemingly transform in demons,
let’s both fall down to hell
as we bid farewell this world,
as our hands become cold as we hold them.

We can become one now for deal,
I´ll cherish your body despite of its toxicity.

The blade piercing your chest
can’t take you away from me
until death do us part."

Honestly I thought it was extremely cheesy. Are the assassins idiots? It was so obvious that she was Angel Trumpet(wtf kind of name is that btw). How could she mistake Ichinose for it? Next to zero back story explanation and their deaths were just awfully done.

All classmates that had a flower on desk died. This episode showed death, and it was stupid really, as it shows that girls cannot be assassins. They have to be mind broken. Both girls committed suicide.Third girl was a trash that got removed and was pointless to show.Teacher is an idiot.Anybody can smell blood.Poison isn't only in liquid state. You can inhale poison too. I bet it was hard to make a good show with poison assassin because it's very hard to defend against poisoning. We got R&J remake...meh

Very dissapointed with this show... I was wondering how are they gona pull off the assasin and target are in the same class crap and well lets just say they didnt do a good job.I could go on for hours and hours as to why is this so dumb but il save myself the time :)

As for the episode itself its the nail in the coffin as far as im concerned i almost cared for the 2 girls when they died but then i realized that i dont know anything about anyone in this show and its hard to care when someone dies or is kicked out of the school. The Romeo play was crap the fight scene horible as always and to keep it short...

Dropped and a very generous 2/10 for its rating.

At the beginning of Akuma No Riddle, I had no expectations for my heartstrings to be pulled. Episode 6 gave what I'd never considered possible for this show in high measure.

Hitsugi and Chitaru's relationship has always been a source of intrigue for me- I've repeatedly felt, same as I do with a lot of characters and their interactions in this show, that there was something much bigger and consequential behind it all.

Hitsugi is also revealed, perhaps unsurprisingly,
On a sidenote, I feel incredibly stupid not have noticed that possibility before. Nobody's perfect on this show!

The Black Class' Romeo and Juliet play is utilized again as a plot driver in this episode, but to much more chilling effects that I certainly was not expecting. Of note is Chitaru and Tokaku's sword fight- the fight scenes are always impeccably put together in Akuma No Riddle, and often enhanced by little things such as lighting, background, and in this one, outfits, all of which are shown here.

Lastly was that climax scene.

Utterly beautiful, and if anything, it tells us that the writers are very capable of portraying a range of emotions on the screen.

I have nothing more to say, other than I don't have the slightest idea how next week is going to top this.

That suicide felt so forced.
She kills her because she killed someone she barely knew, but she loved Kirigaya so much that she kills herself afterwards?

No surprise that Kirigaya was Angel Trumpet, after her reaction when Angel Trumpet was mentioned

I wonder how the students thought they made the knife stick to her chest..

I was pretty upset with how they killed off Shiena, I mean she was ready to give her notice then boom, also there wasn't much background on her.

It's a bit weird with Chitaru taking her own life, given the only background she had with Hitsugi prior to her identity being revealed was at the bus stop.. Yet I did like Hitsugi's approach using the stage weapons (covering it in poison).

Who cares if three were killed in one episode? If it was one per episode it would be way too predictable and boring. In my opinion this episode was fantastic. To be able to integrate Romeo and Juliet perfectly into the actual story is unbelievable. I'm actually very impressed.

Oh man, where do I start?

The episode itself was kind of a feels trip. it was sad to see the cutest yuri couple in the show die.

Now this is where it goes downhill.

Everything in this show is way too predictable. Since it's a battle royal style anime, I was expecting some insane mind-fuck story altering plot twists like in Mirai Nikki...sadly this is not the case whatsoever.

Whoever is getting axed from the show is always the first fucking person they show at the beginning of each episode, and that hasn't changed at all. They said that Angel Trumpet used poisons derived from a flower in the manga, and Hanabusa is shown in the promo picture with a flower, so I personally was hoping that Kirigiya despite being in Angel Trumpet wasn't going to be Chitaru's mentor's actual killer. (Also footnote: in the manga Angel Trumpet is described as an organization, while in the anime it was more of a nickname for the assassin herself). But of course they went the predictable route and then just killed Chitaru in the process.

It's a shame because I expected so much more from the show. I was hoping that each character was going to get a decent amount of development and not just a 3 minute flashback before the leave. This is just following a completely bland and plotless, "oh somebody is going to get cut in each of the 12 episodes until it's over" type of battle royal.

The worst part is that this is one of the extremely rare instances where the anime is better than the manga. The manga is extremely slow-paced with choppy dialogue, and the chapters always seem to cut off randomly, (not like a cliffhanger, like you expected there to be a next page and then it just stops), and then the chapter following the cut off doesn't leave off from where the last one stopped.

I'm not going to drop it and I'll just enjoy it for what it is: senseless fighting with no character development with people leaving every episode. I'm just disappointed that both and manga and the anime had SO MUCH potential and it was all thrown away.

Uh, I don't think the anime > manga. They cut out some scenes with the other characters and changed Tokaku a bit. The manga has some breather room to continue developing the characters, while the anime has to pump out the episodes for this season.

12 episodes, 2 of which were introductory episodes, wouldn't be enough to cover all 12 characters well enough. Dangan Ronpa is another adaptation that cuts corners in development and story, simply because condensing stuff you learn in like 30 hours of free-time events while balancing the story all in 12 episodes isn't possible. From the anime, I barely got anything from Leon in the anine, who died like immediately but got quite a bit of background from his free-time events.
The one thing that I'd love to see is a lesbian yandere.

It seems like a new character attempts an assassination each week, in this case three, but my problem is one episode isn't enough time to develop these characters. I don't feel attached to any of the characters and when they're gone, I could care less. Hopefully with less characters this anime will become more focused. I really dislike the pacing so far.

Also for a show about assassins, it took them long enough to kill someone. I was expecting Mirai Nikki, and I'm not getting Mirai Nikki.

All these deaths would've been sadder if any of the characters had received any kind of development at all, but since they basically introduced a fuckton of them at the beginning and then just proceeded to hastily spotlight a few each episode before killing them off, it's getting boring really fast
