| I liked how this episode reversed the positions of the protagonist and the antagonist by having Sanageyama be the one to lose and return to win after receiving a power up. But damn, that was quite a drastic price that he was willing to pay in order to redeem his pride. Though, it didn't seem to be so much pride as it was his devotion to Satsuki whom he appears to hold affection for, and she in turn appears to hold some degree of affection for him or at the very least acknowledges him (and showing that she herself isn't quite the absolutely stern and merciless dictator that she appears to be) in granting him a second chance and saying that he didn't fail when Ryuko retreated. Sanageyama could see everything but his own arrogance, and his blindness to it caused him to face defeat. In order to find redemption, he cursed his own eyes and the failure that it had brought him by sealing them and as a result was able to see beyond his limits and gained a transcendent clarity. Ironically, his eyes caused him to be blind and fail whereas physical blindness caused him to see more clearly and find success. If he does love Satsuki, then it could also be the metaphor of "love is blind" taken to a literal sense. But if that isn't the case, then it could also be just be a literal metaphor for "blinded by power". It also occurred to me that the resistance group being called "Nudist Beach" is symbolic of its opposition against Honnoji Academy's city and the regard to which it holds clothes. The uniforms represent the hierarchy inherent within the rigid and unforgiving system that binds those within it. A nudist, by rejecting clothes, rejects the system that it represents and as a result is free from its restrictions. All of these things are definitely an overanalysis, but they were interesting to think about. |

| I felt like that last sentence of the episode had a pretty deep meaning, that pretty much aligns itself to the whole "once he loses his sight, he can truly see" motif. When Sanageyama says something about how his senses are now too strong to enjoy hot tea... It's like he truly threw away everything for that win, including the simple pleasures of life and even his "prize" for winning- being treated to hot tea by his superior. |

| for some reason this is one of the episodes in anime I remember the clearest. Its been 3 or 4 years since I watched this but I could recall everything. Is it because this drastically reverses protag and antag? I dont know. |

| Sanageyama's will goes far enough to sew his eyes to become more powerful, wow. Idk what's his name, but I love the design of the guy who has clothes that open when he talks and closes when he doesn't, it's so cool. |

| Nudist Beach!! Great episode! It shows that Sanageyama is no joke and just got cocky in the beginning. I like how the enemy makes a comeback in this predicament. It seems Sastsuki is impress and gave Sanageyama another chance. It will be interesting how she Ryuuko turns the tables! |

| Man, I can already see the hot teacher fighting the hot fiber-suit dude and the jacked nudist fighting the other jacked fiber-dude, and I could love to see a showdown between them soon. I'm glad that she didn't just nerf one of the four elite so easily, they are not for show. The ending kind of confused me a little bit, so is he going to go his own separate path? Also, cool new attire dude. |
| eh. so the guy’s power lvl outmatched his suit? that means that all other suits have their power levels as well, along with the user’s own power level. felt like plot convenience, but hey, at least we know something about the suits and their users. must the senketsus also have a powerlevel? i wouldn’t consider it since it contains 100% life fiber. the godrobes are deemed to be the highest form of suits in this universe. |

| Damn even villains can make an amazing comeback , I think many of us weren't expecting a 3 star Sanageyama to get defeated such easily but then the first battle came and it felt weird. The 2nd battle was an absolute change and this time we realised that Ryuuko isn't quite ready to fully face them yet. Truly great episode overall |

Ryuuko needs to get stronger, winning with smarts is nice and all but her strength needs to keep up as well. Pretty great episode. |

| Things got quite serious in the second half but thankfully Ryuko made it out alive. Sanageyama redeemed himself too. |

| Glad to see that one of the Devas wouldn't be beat so easily. I wonder how Ryuuko will take him on the next time. Also, the art quality for the last fight was kind of spectacular. The quality, the coloring and the shading just seemed really striking to me. |
