| Despite Okita's sister appearing for the first time in this arc, the ending still made me very close to crying. The music was great and the development and backstory was amazing. I really love those 3 and Gintoki is just someone everyone can rely on in hard times and he suddenly becomes serious which is what I love. Hijikata is amazing and finally Kondou did a serious thing. |

| The most serious episode so far and also the saddest one. I can't believe that Mitsuba actually died T-T Hijikata was so cool when he was fighting those guys. Him crying at the end was very sad... |
| If somebody told me a year ago, no, a day ago, that i'll cry after watching a fucking Gintama episode, i'd laugh in their face. They would be right though. And yes, this show is officially a masterpiece in my book. This complexity and depth in the relationships between the characters, done in just two episodes, i mean, that really is a master-level skill in writing. And directing. And aesthetics. Down to even the sound design. Wow, just wow. And Mitsuba, well, maybe she and Toushi would have had a rocky life together, but maybe she would've been happier. Maybe, just maybe, they could have lived happily ever after. Or just together, for a little longer, before death would come knocking on their door. Who knows. |
