That's a very reasonable way to put it. Never assume American polling services show accurate results.
American politics is always in the middle of the mist perpetually. Better to see the general impression of the population right before the presidential election at this point.
| @MalchikRepaid The problem with polls is usually at least one of these three things. Either the poll only tells you about a certain subset of the population not the larger population. Or the poll does tell you what the popular view is but doesnt actually look at it in a way on how the US presidential election winner is determined, which is electoral college not popular vote. Or the poll question phrasing and limited response options influences results. |

It looks like the election will come down to Pennsylvania with Harris and Trump being under a 1 point lead in that state depending on what poll your looking at. In recent polling Trump is doing slightly better in Arizona, Georgia, and South Carolina. Harris is doing slightly better in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Nevada.

| @traed Your prediction seems to be based more on emotion than data if I'm being honest. Predicting one election is something even someone with no knowledge in politics could do easily and it's not a very good measure on being a reliable source for predicting elections. Especially if you yourself forgot what you used. Pennsylvania is definitely the most toss up state according to polls. Not to mention the fact that Trump has done better in the past two elections than what the polls said. Harris would need to be ahead of about a 2-3 points to make up that difference. Harris's advantage is having Shapiro help campaign for her in Pennsylvania. With Biden barely winning states like Arizona and Georgia in the last election, it's going to be tough to recreate what happen in 2020 for the dems. |
