didn't know what to expect from this anime, it was an awesome and sad first episode, this could be the best or one of the best anime of this season

I've read some of the manga and had some pretty high expectations for this anime, and damned if it didn't completely blow my expectations out of the water in the very first episode. If the quality of the animation and the soundtrack continue, then this will be the Anime of the Year.

Honestly seems like it’s better series as an anime rather than the manga. However nothing can surpass the manga artstyle,,still.
It obviously was amazing

Looked nice. 7/10 (3/5 for the episode). But I didn't care about the "thing" that becomes the main char. Also not abou the nameless boy we do not really get to know.

Narrator was a bit cheap: He just throw ni the sphere that turned into a stone, moss, wolf and then the boy. And no explanatoin why this happened.

Not really interested in more - especially after reading a bit on some wikis about the future plot. This likely will be too much adventuring for my taste. I prefer a straight plot or good episodic stuff with chars I like. And a normal approach would have been better. (Instead of just creating such a "thing" when you also can stell story normally.)

Holy shit what a first episode my god am I so glad that I chose to watch this anime this season. The emotion soundtrack everything about this episode was perfect. The small glimpse of hope only to have it all coke crashing down was crushing too. Ps I watched boruto right before this so hearing Jigens va was weird asf at first.

Feels man.. Feels..

Goodness it's only the start but you really can feel the drama already. I can tell that this will be a really great one and will be my 4 of the best Spring 2021 anime.

My mind is already predicting that each of the story/arc of "it"'s (or him's) adventure meeting with the peoples will be a tragic and sad one, and I'm ready for that. My eyes been itching for some tears in a long time. I'm ready for this :")

But that's beside the point. It didn't take away from the impressive presentation and the impact of the episode. This feels like something special. Good shit fr.

I thought so too. If you follow any semblance of real-world logic he wouldn't make it. Though knowing it's fantasy there was that shadow of a doubt that he would miraculously recover. I'm really glad they chose to avoid this and makes it all the more better.

Will every episode make us cry like this? I didn't see any trailer or read any manga before watching this, so I had no idea. I always watch comedy or action isekai etc, so this hit me very hard. I am still crying even after the episode has ended.

10/10 perfect episode. If the show is going to continue elevating the source material like ep 1 then this show is going to be something special.

Having read the Synopsys I knew what was coming, The orb would start off as an inanimate object, a wolf would die near it and it would transform into a wolf and learn its behaviour, the wolf would be with a child and observe it, the child would die and the orb would become the child.

But the feels.... This episode could have been a short movie in it's own rights. 10/10 - hopefully it can keep this up...

The bit where the chimes go off and he runs home hoping for someone to be there waiting for him and there's nothing.. lump in throat moment.

Wait that was only one episode?

A whole story told within several minutes. How heartbreaking to see the boy and everyone he possible knew pass.

The constant delays of this series is definitely worth it

This is definitely one of my favorite premiere episodes I've seen. I just loved how the nameless boy kept his hopes up and never lost sight of his goal, it's really sad that we had to see him die, I almost cried when he did. But, this is a very interesting concept in my opinion

I usually don't post anything on here but as I am a huge fan of the manga, all I can say is WOW. The first episode was amazingly well done, kudos to Brain's base. It might be too early to be giving out praises but it seems like we are heading in the right direction with this.

Please continue to support and send out positive messages to them, I am sure they are working really hard on this series. Stay safe everyone!!

Fantastic premier, starting out really strong. Unique and interesting setting and premise, this is going to be an emotional ride considering it's from the author of a Silent Voice, one of my favorite shows of all time. Although a lot of people seem to have gotten the feels from just the first episode(Evident of the 8.73 score and 89% EP rating), but for some reason I didn't. It was an amazing episode no doubt but I didn't feel emotional, maybe in future episodes, and I have high hopes I will.

Holy fuck that was amazing, the delay was worth the fucking wait. Easily the best premiere this season and maybe even one of the best premieres in anime period. It's super rare for a show to make me feel emotional just with the first episode, this is going be amazing I can feel it.

Man, I thought this was going to be a journey of the boy and his wolf, I didn't expect that ending at all even though I should have. The parallel though with the boy and the wolf's wound, I should have treated that as foreshadowing that the wolf would transform into the boy, I guess I really just didn't want him to die, R.I.P.

Well, this was amazing and I'll probably be tempted to read the manga at some point. Really looking forward to the next episode!

Been waiting for something meaningful like this to come about for a long time. Excellent premise. Seems like the initial few episodes will definitely be something to wait for.
Subjectivity is a joke on MAL. If you implicitly bring in subjectivity in your counter argument, you've already lost the debate. Also this website is a fankid infestation , have pity on those kids by ignoring there quotes as they have absolutely no clue what exactly is going on.

The thing also had to take his form, he was doomed xD

Ngl, the premise look very solid, like, It, and the start, its already interesting. The journey, the strangeness, the mystery. Maaan.

Tsuda being the narrator? Damn, its very very approved. Too bad the Mal character list of him, somehow told the possible spoiler. I wonder why and idk why its get a fuckin acceptance without spoiler tab, really. Even the source itself contain a fuckin spoilers. But whatever. Fumetsu no Anata e really deserved the hype, even though, well, due to the high level of hype, the feels kinda outdated and pretty much decreased. But, still, its solid.

The bgm, can't lied, really be the mvp of these one, remembering much to the awesomeness i got to feels when first watching the first episode of mia. Also, the simpleness of the story, its a very good start without needed such a too much introduction. They just straight to the point: It, acquired a new form, the boy with a strong impetus, started and continuing the boy unachievable journey. To Your Eternity. It said it clear to the boy. Rest in peace.

Anyway, can't wait for more tearjerker story, coming from It. I hope the next one will be more impactful.
