| A match against the current Queen herself, quite the boss level opponent Chihaya is facing here. Impressive that she managed to not lose motivation at the end and even score some cards, but I don't think she'll win. |

| So, time for the singles rounds. And Chihaya somehow faces the Queen. Not quite sure how much I really like that decision as so far, I believe, Chihaya has never lost a winnable match, and here she'll have an "unwinnable" loss. But showing off how good the queen is also works, I guess. Seems like she's better on a mental and physical level, keeping track of more cards and being faster than Chihaya. Somehow though, it feels like Chihaya only needs to be better on one of those to be able to defeat her, not both. If she's faster, keeping track of 2/3ds of the board should suffice, while if Chihaya can be faster her better reaction time should be enough to win as well. I wonder which will be the one that she'll improve, though I guess both is what she'll go for. On the note of the queen: Having her be the youngest in history works to better tie together the club and the competitive scene, I guess. And I'm now also thinking the heatsroke bit yesterday was specifically to get Chihaya out of the kimono to have the scene of her recognizing the queen as her equal in terms of age. Now... looking forward to how many cards Chihaya can take in total, even if I know she won't win. |

| That pan to Sudo standing in the back tho LMAO The queen might as well be a female Arata with how merciless she is, but that random Daddy Bear was adorable. And man, Chihaya activating Ultra Instinct for the Chihayafuru card gives me goosebumps every time it happens. |
| Pretty sure Chihaya would eventually lose this one. But atleast she does get to show everyone she isn't an easy opponent to deal with. The Queen losing to Chihaya would be an awesome final arc/episode in the future of this series. |

| Oof, this was the first episode that didn't hit. And I really didn't like it. The Queen was not only an uninteresting character, she felt like a complete caricature, pulling me out of my usual full engagement with this otherwise-lovely show. I didn't buy any of it for even a second. Chihaya's analyses throughout her matches were also a bit predictable. I hope there are no more episodes like this one. |
