| This was an amazing first episode, the vibe you get from watching this feels like a classic rom-com anime. This anime has so much potential especially with the story and animation being this incredible. Loved the episode, can't wait for the rest of this series! |

| What if I was the main character in a light novel? As usual, A-1 Pictures delivers us another anime with gorgeous animation. The main idea of this story itself is also quite original. It focuses on the heroine who "loses", whereas anime in general tends to ignore the "losers". This might be the anime of the season... |

| What an outstanding way to set up your romance anime. For once we get to see the perspective of an actual background character and how in a matter of days comes by chance into contact with different relationship. It's states from th beginning how he feels about love given how he doesn't have friends nor a girlfriend but isn't unwilling to get them. Sometimes you're just lonely because of the way you are and I can relate to that in certain settings. In any case, with the way the characters are set up to meet this dude I'm guessing he'll start to grow closer to them and on the way we'll get not only beautiful animation supported by just every frame and detail but also character banter which gives each one that mch more personality. This is some pretty girl nonsense nor a goofy mess, just a romcom that knows what it's setting up, exploring frequently unexplored routes and giving us one hell of a ride in the process. PS: That ending sequence with rotoscope and live action footage is so far my candidate for the best of the year. It's that good. |

| Definitely a real gem from this season. Animation was crisp, and the girls were very cute. The mc seems pretty interesting, and the imouto solidifies my 5/5. |

| Very, very impressed with this one. Visually, this practically looks like a theatrical film. The animation is clean, the details such as weathering throughout the school, the colors are vibrant; it all adds up to a gorgeous feast for the eyes. I enjoyed the silly, and at times, chaotic tone of this one. I find the premise of focusing on the "losing heroines" pretty compelling actually. I think we all can think of at least 2 or 3 different girls that have lost at love before. So focusing on how they deal with it after is a fun and creative idea. The protagonist is the one who can see what's really going on, almost feeling like an audience member, where he can point out the ridiculousness of all these romances. With multiple girls losing, it makes me wonder if this will simply be a rom-com, or will this lean towards harem territory? Regardless, I enjoyed the comedy quite a bit, but what also stunned by how good this looked. The premise has me hooked, and I'm excited to see more. |

| Hm. I was wondering what the point really was. I guess we'll be following how Nukumizu kinda just observes the romances or losing stories of these "losing heroines" and maybe makes friends with them. It's actually not all that interesting, but at least there's a consistent theme to keep up with. It feels like it'll be more frustrating than anything though. Typically, you can tell a similar story in the form of vignettes, but I guess they just had to go the long, drawn-out, quirky anime route. I did skim through a bit of the manga some time ago and didn't really see almost any of the appeal. I thought that maybe I was just missing something, so I wanted to give the anime a try as well. The art and animation here is nice I guess, but that definitely shouldn't be the only thing to keep me watching. Even the comedy used in order to give this the comedy genre tag isn't really my thing. Nukumizu's character design fits well with the bland protagonist look, and I think they did well to make sure he didn't give off a more energetic feel. Instead, they chose to make sure the hair flows downward. That is, I feel many MCs have an oddly sporty look despite not actually being all too sporty-- or without trying to achieve a more popular or sporty appearance for themselves. Here Nukumizu's hair very much fits who he is and who he aims to come off as. Lemon almost has the same hairstyle, and yet it works really well for her. I think everything about her appearance matches her personality and who she wants to come off as. Her hair is short and sporty, yet still flows off at the ends to keep it looking feminine as she's still a heroine in love. The lemon and lime theme goes great with her skin tone and gives her a very bright and approachable quality to her design. Anna's design... her design actually screams secondary female lead, which I feel might be the point. If so, that's a cute nod. I actually find her appearance doesn't match her personality as much as I'd like, but I think it matches well enough with what seems to be her "hidden" side? I'm not too sure how hidden it is though. It's not a particularly great design on its own though. I'll see if it grows on me as I maybe learn more about her. Chika Komari's red hair doesn't quite match her seemingly shy personality. However, I see that she's at least trying to be social, so perhaps her hair color and style is more of her attempting to come off as someone who's more confident in her social skills or someone who's trying to get to that point. The hair in front of the eyes can be interpreted as shyness, but it's also pretty stylish. I do appreciate that her ponytail is small in a way which helps show that she's making a small attempt to standout but is not quite at a full committal stage yet (if it really is the case that she wants to be or is trying to seem more social). Despite all that, I'm kinda okay with these designs which don't exactly follow expectations... still, I do wonder about them. Though the designs are something to ponder, I'm not very fond of the personalities of any of our heroines. I actually find Anna to be incredibly annoying. Insisting on paying Nukumizu's money back with some subpar trade, expecting something out of a promise made as 4/5 years old, or just... constantly complaining about her friends in a relationship? Her kinda bad personality seems hint at why she's a losing heroine in the first place, but at the same time I wonder what is it the watcher is supposed to like about her if anything? We barely know anything about her besides what involves her failed love, so why should I care? Who even is she?? Additionally, I just don't like the interactions between Anna and Nukumizu much. Honestly, Chika isn't much better either, though story-wise, she has potential much like Lemon. Her personality is very anime-fied, which isn't bad in itself, but in an anime that just ain't selling it for me in the first place, it just comes off as grating. I don't know if her stutter is a permanent thing or something she does just because she's nervous, anxious, or shy, but the way they go about this is more like a moe thing that's meant to not seem like a moe thing so far. Because of that, I can't help but think... well, instead focusing on that, why not spend more energy on writing an actual interesting story? To be honest, I'd give up the nice visuals too if I could get a more interesting story. Well, hopefully the next episode will sell me on this more. |

| Somehow this anime slipped by me when I was looking at what was airing this season. Thankfully a clip from this episode popped up on my YouTube feed and I just knew I had to watch it. Anyway really funny and really cute. I already know that I'm going to love this. |
| This low-key was the anime I was most hyped for this season; and it delivered. Didn't even know exactly what it was about, and I still don't know lol. But whatever it is, it was fun, and even a little heart-breaking. Looking forward to the rest of the show; got really high hopes for it now. |

| Started to watch this after seeing enough people reccomending it and seeing a few highlight clips of Anna... not disappointed. So far had a blast, of course this is only the first episode, but I feel the director is very talented and is going all out, so I hope this keeps delivering. For people comparing this to Roshidere, I like the MC from Roshidere way more than this generic MC, and I m only feeling Anna right now, and considering how dramatic Roshidere is gonna be at the end, it just has the potential to end up being the best romcom with a good spice of drama to end it all. But Anna really sells this show damm hard, so I hope she keeps going crazy at it. |

| Wasn't prepared for how genuinely breathtaking the animation quality is for this. It's almost like the animators wanted to console the losing girls by making sure they at least looked good when they lost. And lmao at Anna sneaking in sidedish bits into our guy's lunchbox to lower her debt |
| Great animation, the script and/or directing seems to miss for me at times.. like it would feel ham fisted or off tone in a sense. Still looks to be an enjoyable show. Will keep watching of course. |
