Edit: What an absolutely perfect fucking first episode. Mobilised and focused pacing that established all the plot points I wanted from Bleach's entrance with us getting to see the main cast in the Hollow fight, the introduction of Esbern to establish the presence of a looming and shadowy Quincy threat, and of course the Quincy making their declaration of war against the Shinigami by blasting the dead lieutenant of the First Division into the Head Captain's barracks before his eyes. The animation looks great and I look forward to the sakuga in the upcoming major fights (we even saw dynamic camera movements in Ichigo's fight with Esbern), the Hollow CGI is barely noticeable and which the gorgeous compositioning and lighting does favours for, the music and sound effects never miss with this series, amazing backgrounds, and of course Ichigo's black Getsuga is peakino. A decade-long anticipated high-profile title deserves nothing less. Bleachchads just keep on WINNING! This was good but calm down bud, blue lock first episode 1 was better than this ngl and don't forget chainsaw man episode 1 dropping tomorrow lmao |

| That new and improved Ichigo's theme is nutworthy. The ending really brought back my nostalgia for the Bleach franchise as a whole. Obligatory lmao Disney+ fuck up moment. |

We had lots of action animation even before the main fights. But yeah bleach will be more consistent since it's seasonal now and 4 split cours. They are taking their sweet time. But holyy the background art reminds me a bit of kizumonogatari movies. Bleach episode 1 was movie quality. |

| I really liked the visuals, the color palette, and the typography, and after a few pacing issues (I really didn't like how at the beginning they shifted from one scene to another. I got it, it was because they wanted to introduce the main cast at a fast pace, but the spacing could have been a bit smoother. Luckily after the introductions, the spacing got much better) I liked how the scenes went from one to another. Also! The voice acting was top-notch and the music was, like always, very good. (Though, I didn't like the special ending, but that's just me -I haven't ever liked endings/beginnings which are basically just clips from past episodes. It doesn't make me feel nostalgic or sort of.) I also liked very much the manga quote at the very end of the episode where Yhwach talked aloud. It felt really fitting, considering how the episode ended. Oh, and now that we saw in visuals certain scenes, like quincies and Bankai stealing...those looked just stunning. I just love the bluish-white colors as those give me underworld vibes. I especially liked when Ichigo's Bankai almost got stoled -the visuals of that deed were very cool. Also, the mid-opening scene where the Karakura gang is introduced? Badass. Liked how each of them was shown in their element and they worked in good synergy. Ah, there were just so many good things in the episode! I'm just happy the anime started so strongly! Fingers crossed, it'll keep its strong vibe~. |
