| I really don't like how they translate the dialogs in the tub with kyousuke and miyamura. Wherein kyousuke said "damn,she preggers again". I know its a joke but people will think wrong of this. |

| Every single screenshot of this episode would be great on any possible "Horimiya Out of Context" series. On a more serious note, and not sure if I am overthinking this, but the fact he is being seen being aggressive to her in public many times and everyone seems Ok with that is bothering me. Good episode non the less, one of my favourites so far. I always enjoy when the focus is on friendship aspects rather than romance, though I felt that Tanihara might harbour some romantic feelings for Miyamura for a moment (guess I am overthinking again here). |
TLDR.: If there's any character in this episode with a toxic mentality it is Mizouchi, his reaction was very indicative of some degree of toxic masculanity. Ho boy, the feminists have infiltrated. Send help. You can discuss all you want but what it boils down to for me is that seing them get violent makes me feel uncomfortable. And it's painful because up to that point I was really enjoying myself. And I will bail out if this keeps up, I mean you are free to have whatever kinks you want but I ain't watchin' them. |

 Oh dear, an even deeper delve into Hori's fetish…That girl is a walking contradiction. Nevertheless, it is nice to see that Hori's support enables Miyamura to make amends with his past. |

It's just downright toxic from Hori to keep pushing the issue and then resorting to emotional abuse ("one more time", "do you not love me anymore?") and manipulation - that's also actively enabled by the other characters in the show - when she doesn't get what she wants from him. But don't worry guys, it's obviously okay because it's played for comedic effect, because she sticks up for him every now and then and because it sUBveRTs exPECtaTiONs! No, it's not okay, it's actually incredibly toxic and literally the exact opposite of funny and the exact opposite of a healthy relationship. I'm more than happy to kinkshame Hori when her "kinks" are causing her to be toxic in her relationship with Miyamura (and I think calling her behaviour part of her "kink" is just a convenient excuse to gloss over how problematic and unpleasant those aspects of her behaviour actually are). For the most part, this show has been relatively inoffensive so far, bogged down by rushed pacing and questionable directing, but this episode is the first time the show has actively angered me. Hori is probably my least favourite female romcom lead of all time, at least from romcoms generally accepted to be noteworthy. this. That what i felt while watching the episode, it just wrong and idk how i should feel when seeing people say that she's the perfect gf like? miyamura is clrealy against what she been forcing him to do and he doesn't even stand up for himself, honestly i liked him at first but now he just feels like a doll to play with, hope the issue with hori gets cleared in the manga bc if she still keeps being like that and not acknowledging what she's doing is wrong sends a really bad message, overall props to her for defending him but i dislike her the most so far i guess i don't fancy tsundere girls bc all they do is hit the mc for "comedy" |

To each their own I suppose... but I still find all her reactions funny, like that ultra-happy face after Izumi treated her like trash in front of Mizouchi lol Hell yeah, I was waiting for Kyoko to beat up Tanihara and the other dude from middle school. And then followed by such a sweet scene of Kyoko holding onto his arm and just walking side by side. It's already episode 9... I'm afraid of reaching the end and having no more Horimiya... |

| Their relationship is just toxic man, Hori keeps making Miyamura do shit he doesn't want to because she wants him to act like her ideal man and fulfill her kinks. Miyamura clearly doesn't want to put up the violent act but he feels like he should try to live up to his gf's expectations. And when he explicitly said he is reluctant, she started asking if he doesn't love her anymore and other manipulative bs like that. Even when Kyoko's dad told her to be more considerate of Miyamura's feelings she brushed him off and started talking about chores. This is all played for shits and giggles but it makes me extremely uncomfortable. |

| I can't say I'm surprised to see around 50% of people being put off by the "abuse" and basically Hori's kink. I feel like most people I can understand cause they see actual abuse behind it, but it's really just a gag, they are taking it way too seriously. I do agree that it would be better to show the bystanders that she indeed likes it, but some people do see her asking for this. Also, sure it seemed to have bothered Miyamura but later he even talked it out with Hori's dad that it's really just seeing your partner acting opposite to what they usually act like. It's just a joke guys, no need to think anyone here is suffering or that now everyone will think they are in a toxic relationship. As you can all see they are always used for some immediate joke, like the former bullies freaking out, or this new guy being weirded out that Hori is handled like that, or Shindo thinking (and knowing) it's a sexual thing. I mean if this is abuse then don't watch any anime where girls often hit guys like here for comedy and go "haha such a cute tsundere". Like this episode as well, Hori beating up the bullies. (And yes, abuse in real life is serious, not condoning it there unless it's consented S&M kind of thing if that's what floats their boat). I myself found the episode hilarious, and the parts about the past really sad... But I'm glad that Miyamura and that bully can put it behind them. Also Hori for the win for coming to Miyamura's aid and protecting him. |

| Lots of people having issues with the kink, didn't notice nearly as much outrage when Hori took a chunk out of Miyamura's neck though. Yeah sometimes that's a part of a relationship that has to be discussed, I know I'd be a little uncomfortable in Miyamura's position too. He needs to communicate clearer and get her to settle for a forehead flick or whatever he's comfortable with. |

| Interesting character developments this episode all way. Hori who seems to prefer being on the receiving end of pain, can dish it out just as well, definitely felt relieved she stood up for Miyamura. Miyamura himself wonders how things turned out like this between him and hori, seeking Hori's father for advice. Mizouchi, although feeling like yet again a very sudden addition? gets a front row seat and example of what would of been needed of him. Tanihara seeing Miyamura as he is now, feeling the guilt of the past was interesting. Consequences of his own actions seem to have done him more damage then anything. Hopefully by comforting Miyamura, he'll be able to get some closure between themselves, and reconcile with his past. A lot more focus of Hori and Miyamura's relationship, and Miyamura's past this episode. Interested to see how it all goes through. |

| Love how Hori was so mad when Miyamura got approached by some girls who didn't care about his existence, I mean Hori is scary I'll give her that and not someone to mess with I just...I just don't know anymore Hori's being Sadistic and Masochistic at the same time and it's like Miyamura just exist to fulfill her weird kinky desires and it's hilarious and amusing So you reap what you sow Tanihara's actions are slowly getting back to him after realizing how harsh he treats Miyamura back in middle school, But surely Miyamura's getting a bit bothered with being a bit violent with Hori but whatever makes her happy I guess. |
