| Very excited for this series. The blend of fantasy and modern military really make this series unique and interesting, and it looks like it'll get a proper adaptation just from the pilot. Animation looks good to me, and though it starts off a little slower than the manga (and I presume the light novel), I think it works for the first episode. The graphic content will undoubtedly get toned down , but hopefully not to too great an extent. Probably my favorite first episode of this season so far. |

| That's a nice first episode. A very by-the-book introductory episode. Nothing to complain, really. Well, if I have to, maybe how the story flows in the first episode was not that good since there were time skips here & there, but that's just me being nitpicky. |

| Just watched it, looks very interesting like the concept. Enjoyed it quite a bit, nice breathe of fresh air. Hopefully it doesn't devolve into a generic fantasy moe harem, and keeps up the action scenes. 4/5. Hope it keeps it up. I have a sneaking suspicion them will just be an OK anime, if they don't mess it up. |

| Art was decent. MC is pretty funny, and calm rather than some over the top, over emotional otaku teen. OP is fucking phenomenal. Been so long since Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets did an OP for an anime. Strike the Blood maybe? Eveyone saying the OP is meh can go fuck off. Probably the same weebs who thought the mediocrity that was the Oregairu OP was song of the season in spring. ED was ok. Catchy, but nothing stellar. Wellp, bring on next week. Cant wait to hear more salty whiners crying lakes over how there was less violence in the anime. |

| seems super censored adult mc is always welcome but ofc he has to be an otaku who thinks about an event being cancelled when the town is being attacked by an unknown force and people are getting killed.... and does it again while getting promoted to 2nd lieutenant.... also is around police but not once tells them he is part of the sdf.... art is decent, ost too, op and ed are kinda meh, setting is pretty interesting pretty meh so far and the prospect of a harem with the 3 main girls doesn't really make it any more interesting parts looked like they could have been a sdf promotion video lol |

Have called him out on numerous occasions; most notably in winter season when he watched literally EVERY. SINGLE. | Loved this first episode. So happy to see a chill protagonist that doesn't hesitate to do what's necessary. He killed the invading soldier because that's what needed to be done. He's an otaku, but he doesn't neglect his work. So far very likable character. After all, don't most of us work to support what we love doing? (Cultural connotations are different, I know, but relatable for Western viewers.) Also love the military action and dissociation from High School. A very refreshing change. Great music. Animation was solid, but standard fare. The OP in the beginning really reminded me of the OP for HotD. 4.5/5 |

| It seems to me that this series is either a hit or a miss for some people......i ama manga reader so i know what to expect....trust me it gets better...they adapted it well it is just they extended the Ginza incident for the whole episode. Later it get more comedic especially when the girls are introduced as well as more diverse and adult..ranging from politics military strategies and good fight scenes....what they need was introduce more of the the characters as well the recon team of Itami's group. trust me this won't just focus on him and his otaku'nes only....just give it a chance i bet a lot of u who are still hesitant will love it by the 3rd episode. Also yes they tones the violence but at least there is still some violence and action they could have removed it completely so be a bit grateful. Also those who read the manga only this is based on the novels not the manga and there differences between them so expect that. |

| Well, I have mixed feelings about this anime. I like military settings in general, but the fantasy aspect kinda put me off (plus the design of overly moe characters....I'm tired of it). From the looks of it the MC is pretty capable, but I'm worried if this lead to nonsense harem....I guess I'll stick into several episodes to see where it goes |

| Damn that totally exceeded my expectation. I expected another Outbreak Company and instead got all those violence and deaths (poor girl). Still I can't see how they're going to mix this kind of action with moe elf girls and gothic lolita without actually turning into Outbreak Company. Oh well OC rather lacked in action so this may make up for it. |

Shame they didn't do an upgrade on the Type 74 though, making it a Type 90 instead (which is more numerous anyway). I guess it would be the same with that other military vehicle that would also be making an appearance, since it isn't even the most numerous air, er, asset they have...The F and the number will be retained I guess. lol |

| The plot reminds too another anime transmitted years ago, and the story was quite similar. Now there are two options, the first is that this TV series is a mere copy made only better than the first; the second is that this anime rewrite the rules created by the first to make a TV series that is much better both in terms of graphics quality that history, we'll see. I hope to be a part of a major event and not a farce. Drawings and animations quite as good quality, well-structured narrative with a pace well to explain the events. |
