| A decent episode, but I felt it didn't really live up to the build-up from the previous episode. Souma won a bit too easily. I look forward to much more difficult Shokugeki's in the futue. |

| Good thing I ate lunch while watching this episode as the meat dishes looked sooo yummy! =P The quality of Nikumi's A5 meat would win on it's own against Soma's discounted meat, but she dropped a clanger by pairing the meat up with rice which the judges never finished up. Soma, on the other hand, paired his meat with rice that gets more addictive the more you eat it. The perfect combo rightfully defeated Nikumi's A5 meat. Soma's pretty badass, but also a friggin troll too! >_< Getting the hopes up for both Nikumi, who's obviously will have feelings for him since he called her nickname cute, and Konishi, who thought Soma would join the Don RS, only for Soma to reject it. Still, at least it gives Nikumi a place to cook her food now that Erina is taking her own kitchen away. |

| I wonder how many veteran Anime fans noticed some similarities between Souma's cooking style in this episode and Mao from Chūka Ichiban's cooking style in the episode wherein he had to satiate the appetite of a tyrant official in Shanghai. The official lost his appetite due to the hot weather and Mao made a fried rice dish that had umeboshi (sour, pickled plums) in it and it improved the official's appetite drastically. That's what I thought when Souma used umeboshi in his rice. Still, I'm not digging the lovu-lovu vibe from Nikumi. She would've been my favorite character if she didn't fall for Souma. Fucking cliche. |

| Ah, another great episode! The cooking battle was super fun to watch, especially their different styles :P Of course Souma won, we all saw that coming, but in such a great fashion too ... especially with the don really making everyone want to eat more and more! :O Ikumi's a real tsundere isn't she ... well, I guess she couldn't be "ladylike" because of her dad :S Souma trolling the Don RS by not joining (poor Ikumi thought she'd find him there XD) since he was just checking it out anyway LOL XD Anyway, hope there'll be some new challengers for Souma! Would be nice to see him lose a cooking battle too (though he won't be kicked out so they'd have to wager something else). Can't wait for next week :P |
| Awesome episode 7! As expected! Nikumi overwhelmingly lost the Cooking Battle! Souma's style to win is giving flavors not only to the meat but also as a whole, which means the rice! just like the way he won over Erina (ep2). The way Souma grins while he said that the meat he bought from the convenience store was a lucky sale made the whole audience very mad at him...was total hilariousness! On the eyecatch part, Kawashima Urara was a total facade! Epilogue was fun Souma isn't really joining the club and his real purpose was he just want to check-out don club so that he would have a new menu for their restaurant someday. 5/5. |

| Souma is the best shounen protagonist ever. Nuff said. And I am lol-ing at people who call Souma a cliche protagonist. Definitely not a very discerning eye imo. And I love Nikumi's girly side, need more of that <3 |

| The expectations were met, the fact of the matter had the answers I had to have. Comprehensive and impeccable in this regard, but the overall judgment must also take account of everything else. Fortunately the episode is saved by a hair, as though seeing a hint of a harem, it is for now nipped in the bud. Regarding the ecchi, I would have preferred a more subdued tone, just a bit. However on the scales, there are more than the negative things even positive ones. What are the aforementioned clash, well told, the mouth-watering culinary references and finally the little crumbs that are additional to those already shown previously on Nikumi; giving characterization but also the background to his character. In total good episode, but the authors do not have to make mistakes falling into temptations. Must maintain a serious tone but a concession to comedy, at the appropriate times, it is a godsend; then so be it. But careful with harem and fanservice, the good thing too. |

| Woot nice win for Soma! His first ever Shokugeki and he won.. Nikumi falling for Soma wooh~ Sigh I'll said it once and I'll say it again.. The ecchi is just a side dish while the story is the main.. I don't blame the studio for showing this much ecchiness since it's what people want most nowadays (which is kinda sad).. I bet this will be as popular if they lessen the ecchi 'cos the audience will be hooked to Soma's character and the plot itself.. Trust me I know.. I've read the manga and the greatness of this series just keeps on increasing as it progress.. Well anyways, looking forward to the next EP.. |

| Wooooaahhh Nikumi is sooo kaaawaaaiiii *.* It was nice to see when she dressed up for Souma. Unfortunately he is not a member of this club LOL. Hope we will see more of Nikumi. | Nikumi would have won the match if it was based solely on meat and nothing else. She's a pro when it comes to meat. While Yukihira used a cheap convenience store meat which would have been destroyed by Nikumi's A5 meat. But I give credit where it's due, Yukihira was smart and capitalized in Nikumi's lack of focus towards her other ingredients. Suprised Yukihira didn't join the club. It would have been nice them team up. |
